@KeezTheFlex I’ve always supported the Final Fantasy series in doing something new, just like it always has, driven by that constant effort to innovate.
I fully support streaming culture.
But as times change, I believe the way we design games also needs to evolve. I’m looking forward to seeing how Final Fantasy VII Revelation is received.

私は配信文化を否定しているわけではありません。ただ、時代が変わった以上、ゲームの作り方も変わる必要があると思っています。FFVII Revelationがどう受け取られるのか楽しみにしています。

@ImperialStoic@cactender I think the new FF needs to innovate rather than just taking a step back to turn-based
If they want a compromise, an ATB (Active Time Battle) system should be the absolute bare minimum.
FF16 weakest point is that the RPG elements regarding character growth feel too stripped-down
@Nicole_El Honestly, I barely see this kind of stuff in around my community , but I see it all the time in western Fandom.
First time ,Reading their arguments just makes me scratch my head like, 'What the hell are they even fighting about?
@kierfarmer@bluthundyr@ChuhoSilva@Sebbywebz@KiraFG_ Enemies keep attacking you even when your ATB gauge is full, and they never wait for you to decide your next move.
OG FF7 that people love was never a traditional turn-based game to begin with.
What..FF7 Turn base he want but OG isnt. That's the point
This is actually one of Zack’s core character flaws, and it’s ultimately what leads to his downfall. Just like how Aerith’s death is deeply tied to her greatest strength, her selflessness, which also becomes her greatest flaw because she’s willing to sacrifice herself for others, Zack’s flaw is his need to be the impossible man. He constantly takes responsibility for everyone around him and believes that if he just tries hard enough, he can save everyone. It’s an incredibly admirable trait, but it also means he rarely accepts his own limitations and repeatedly takes on burdens no one person could realistically carry. Zack can’t stand the idea of leaving someone behind or failing to protect the people he cares about, so he keeps pushing forward no matter the odds. That’s what makes his story so tragic I think (and why some people see him as cookie cutter). His downfall doesn’t come from selfishness or a lack of courage, but from one of his most heroic qualities being taken to its absolute extreme. In the same way Aerith’s compassion and self sacrificing nature ultimately leads her to give everything for others, Zack’s unwavering desire to save everyone eventually costs him everything too
Uhh Octopath is a spiritual successor to 2D FF. Also side note but I wouldn’t be surprised if Resonance has the best turn based combat in the entire series (not that the bar is entirely that high)
@envinyon No OG fan asked for a 2D-HD remake of a gacha game. Whining will stop if they ever bring back turn-based to the mainline triple A titles and keep Kingdom Heartificated action slop as side games
