I mean, people woke up in the morning and discovered they cannot leave their houses or reach their work for the entire working day, because the prime minister decided that he wants to visit the area. If that's not the feeling of having an authoritarian leader, idk what is.
Israel PM Netanyahu decided yesterday that he wants PR photos with his wife in the new tram opened in Tel Aviv. Yet, he's so unpopular there right now, and controlling the police, so it was decided to close most of the city for his visit for 9 hours! Without early notice. Absurd.
Much talked now about Purra, Junnila, and PS.
I'd like to point out something not spoken enough - that this is quite a big failure of the Finnish media.
Purra is the PS chair since 2021. Junnila is MP since 2019.
Only now you recalled to properly examine and highlight their past?
The effect of the last Finnish elections on my psychology: every time a white Finn is acting rude to me recently, I wonder whether he/she/they are generally rude, or specifically rude to me because they are racist :/
The new interior minister of Finland is openly racist.
Whoever sits with her in the coalition is therefore openly accepting racism.
Things should be put on the table.

that it is my first job in advocacy and I'm an immigrant. I think I've proven that I have excellent knowledge of Finnish politics, that I'm a hard worker, and an initiator. So now I just need to find a place that would ignore my imperfect Finnish, and win my political abilities.
My time doing political advocacy for @familia_ry ends next week. I'd like to continue but unfortunately non-profits have limited resources, so they cannot hire me. With all modesty, based on feedback I got, I've done impressive work and achieved a lot, definitely considering >>>
Made this flyer for @familia_ry and put it recently in the mailboxes of all members of the Finnish parliament. With the recently published government program, it almost feels like a provocative statement to say that Finland should be a good place for everyone.
about my NGO's goals for the government negotiations. And to my absolute shock, they answered! And fast! And usually with a detailed answer indicating that they actually read my email. I know this is how it should be, but this is so far from how I experienced politics so far.
Because I grew up in Israel, my assumption is that politicians and senior civil servants will never reply to my contacts if I'm not filthy rich or a celebrity. But as part of my current NGO work, I've been recently sending emails to Finnish politicians and civil servants >>>
I'm used to people in Finland talking to me Turkish (and Arabic, and Spanish), but recently I also get all the time tweets in Turkish in my feed. I don't speak Turkish. Does it happen to anyone else?
A sentence I actually read today, from this article: "Helsinki Sanomat also poses the question of why Finns Party chair Riikka Purra has been constantly comparing herself and her party to a honey badger."
Me and the new MP: 2 weeks ago I ran into Timo Furuholm campaigning in Turku. I told him that I appreciate his political work, in my typical rather enthusiastic, not very "Finnish" style.
He told me that these are actually the kindest words he received since joining politics.
