So, after 2 or so years of research, I have almost completed the picture of the relationship between Mad Magazine and Japan. We start in 1968ish, when the Weekly Shลnen Jump published a few Mad articles in their magazine.
@MercuryFalcon IDK man. Art's got some good solo stuff. But then again, Paul did kick him off the previous album Heart and Bones due to it being too personal of an album for Paul.
How 'ya gonna do it?
You're gonna PS/2 it.
Jingle written and performed by Jake Holmes (remember him from the "Zack The Lego Maniac" ad?). Some may recognize actor Derek McGrath from the TV show "My Secret Identity" in this spot.
@DanGuy96 I personally think they should just do a direct to DVD film like they did with the 13 Ghosts, but don't back track on the "paranormal/spy" aspect. Phineus Phibes is a fun enough villain, and the series did end with him getting away.
Bobcat Goldthwait lights Jay Lenoโs chair on fire in 1994.
He became the first Tonight Show guest to be charged with a crime for what he did on the show & had to pay a $2,700 fine for the incident plus nearly $700 for the cost of the chair.
"Where's Waldo?"-type search activity from a 1992 Japanese magazine, tasking the viewer with finding Mario and Yoshi in a crowd without being fooled by impostor Marios and incorrect Yoshis.
@AnotherBionicle OK they are fumbling big time with the whole smart play thing and the 18+ stuff, but I really do like these figure sets. They are cute, and I have the original one in my office. The big downside is they don't find a way to put an actual minifig in the head anymore.
@BennyBondestino@sillybutch To me it reeked of Osamu Tezuka SF oneshots he did at the time in terms of writing. Stuff that could be found in the Crater, Clockwork Apple, and Under the Air.
@BennyBondestino@sillybutch Rage was pretty amateurish but not that hard to understand, perhaps trying to do something with a slightly larger scope at that time was not something King could do successfully yet.
I'll go back to the Long Walk after Roadwork.
