@amyonthehill @becksthewrecks - various play experiences: swinging, climbing, sliding, spinning, rocking, tactile panel and learning panels.
- In regional parks, we are installing various destination playgrounds. These playgrounds are larger, taller and some will be designed for inclusive play.
@amyonthehill @becksthewrecks The Director of Parks, Daryl Joseph and his team are in charge of playgrounds. The City has a procurement process but the considerations Parks used to determine a good playground include:
•Review of existing site conditions
•Available space for the playground
@amyonthehill @becksthewrecks •Supplier’s time frame to design, permit and install a playground
•All playgrounds are designed and installed for kids aging between 2-5 and 5-12 years old.
•All playgrounds must meet ASTM and CPSC safety standards.
• Available Budget
Thank you @MyFDOT_NEFL for a wonderful ribbon cutting this morning! The SUP (Shared Use Path) over the St. Johns is officially open. See you Saturday for a joyous celebration with @RAMJacksonville & @PreservationJax at 10am.
@Mepstein13 The inspections in January revealed a few outstanding safety concerns. Now rectified, FDOT will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony open the Fuller Warren Shared Use Path (SUP) on Thursday, April 6 at 11 a.m at the Riverside Arts Market. Hope to see you there, Michael.
Have you been watching the pedestrian bicyclist path go up on the Fuller Warren? Here's a video of the Florida Department of Transportation's construction crews setting one of their last beams. The project is on track to be completed this fall.
Are you looking for some free family fun? Join @jaxparks on Saturday, April 1st for their annual Eggstravaganza at Boone Park from 11am to 3pm.
