@FirepitMike I am proud of my career as a lawyer. I helped clients in a wide assortment of industries. I helped my clients create jobs as well as housing and a host of other products and services. I am running for Congress to fix broken rules and deliver solutions - not just outrage.
@DaveChauncey @NateMonroeTU Yet Tampa announced yesterday a new hotel, condo and office tower for their downtown. Not a word of any incentives needed either.
Nice story in Tampa today about Jeff Vinik exiting the Water Street Development - said success was premised on landing a Corp HQ relocation - never happened but project enormously successful. @ScenicJax@BobBuckhorn
Well said Rick Piriani! Check out this article from Florida Times-Union:

How trees improve our quality of life
https://t.co/aYfulPfNOb Nice story in T-U re benefits of trees in urban areas - customers spend 12% more in well landscaped businesses. @ScenicJax @jaxdotcom
We learned last month that Florida DOT prohibits any wording on embankments/ sides of overpasses. Oh well, the Roosevelt / Edgewood overpass will soon be painted. Should be an improvement over current look.
This was one of many ideas for painting the Roosevelt / Edgewood overpass - it would have said Murray Hill on side and Avondale on the other @nanjpowell @jimmyforjax @RandyDeFoor_D14
@MayorDeegan@ScenicJax It was wonderful to see so much community support last night at @ScenicJax Great Cities Symposium! We really appreciate @MayorDeegan and Council Members Salem, Howland and J. Carlucci attending!
@DonnaDeegan@JaneCastor@BobBuckhorn@Kriseman This is wonderful to see the Mayor-elect taking advantage of the support and knowledge that is available! The next four years should prove to be great ones for Jacksonville.
@jimmyforjax@nanjpowell@RandyDeFoor_D14 At the time, DOT indicated that they had the funds to clean and paint the overpass in connection with the work on Edgewood in Murray Hill. Hopefully this will happen
Remember the opening credits to the Mary Tyler Moore show where she is walking downtown and joyfully throws her hat in the air due to her excitement of beginning her career? What will it take before we can see that scene repeated in Jacksonville?
@DonnaDeegan @matt_carlucci If the legislature is going to force the sale of JEA, then we should have our local leaders agree that sufficient sale proceeds go into an endowment to fund the City’s general fund in an amount equal to current JEA contribution and the City gets a board seat on acquirer’s board.
As we are entering the time for many park cleanup projects, if you are looking for a helpful task, consider de-mossing a bush. Moss in oak trees is lovely, moss in azaleas is not so lovely.
