We are living in a time where anger is no longer the exception, it’s the atmosphere. We breathe it in daily: on our screens, in our conversations, in the headlines, and in our homes. And it’s not just private frustration, it’s performative rage, rewarded by algorithms and amplified by echo chambers.
Ours is an angry culture, but beneath the anger is something deeper: unresolved grief, unacknowledged fear, unmet longing, and a loss of trust in anything or anyone that can hold us together. We are angry because we feel powerless. Angry because we feel unheard. Angry because we are exhausted.
Anger, in itself, is not evil. Biblically, it is often the beginning of justice. But when untethered from humility, mercy, and truth, anger becomes a wildfire, consuming rather than correcting.
The real question is: What will we do with our anger?
Will we turn it into blame and scapegoating?
Or will we let it become lament, intercession, courage, and healing?

@fairvote@Ruthzee If the goal of electing officials is to make sure voters have a voice, then we should use the process that best yields electeds representative of the electorate.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Did you know that Ireland has successfully used ranked choice voting for over 100 years? May we someday have the luck o' the Irish! 🍀

@CJOnline It's fascinating that @RealPatProctor says ranked choice voting is too confusing when Australia & Ireland have both used it successfully for over a century. Voters who've used it in other states tend to find it simple and prefer it to pick-one voting.
