Saudi Arabia and Qatar are wisely choosing diplomacy and dialogue over escalation.

They understand that no one truly benefits from war, and their efforts to keep communication open, even with Iran, reflect a mature commitment to peace. This path shows strength, not weakness. In contrast, the UAE's more confrontational approach often risks heightening tensions.

President Trump, the region looks to the United States for leadership. Choosing diplomacy over escalation would honor that trust and demonstrate true wisdom.

The US and Europe have poured over 175 billion dollars into Ukraine since 2022, supplying Javelins, HIMARS rocket systems, Patriot air defenses, ATACMS long-range missiles, Bradley fighting vehicles, Abrams tanks, and endless artillery shells, alongside real-time satellite intelligence and targeting data from US and NATO sources.

This aid is openly framed as helping Ukraine defend itself and bleed Russia. Yet when Iran uses its domestically produced Shahed drones and ballistic missiles to strike back, Western media and officials immediately label it unacceptable escalation and aggression.

The double standard is glaring. Now consider the reverse: Russia has sold or transferred S-400 Triumf air defense systems to allies, and Iran has actively sought these advanced systems despite intense Western pressure and sanctions.

If Russia and China had openly flooded Iran with the same scale of weapons, training, and top tier defenses that the West gave Ukraine, the outrage would be deafening, with accusations of starting World War Three and global sanctions. Instead, the same powers that arm one side to the teeth now push for Iran to end the conflict as soon as possible, revealing the true costs and limits of their strategy.

This isn't principled support for self-defense. It's naked hypocrisy dressed up as a rules based order, and the facts make that impossible to ignore.
