Various media and propagandists reported the unfortunate incident where 40-50 women were allegedly injured during a scuffle with security forces.

Some X handles like (@RavinderKapur2) even tweeted claiming that Indian Army personnel stripped #Kuki women and beat them seriously.

𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧:
The woman in the video stripped herself and jumped towards the security personnel. No jawans touched her.

𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠:
Encroached Kukiland at Saibol post.

𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧:
As per the official records, there is no Kukiland, no Saibol post in Manipur. The name / area where the incident took place is called Uyokching which comes under Khamenlok Gwaltabi Reserve Forest.

𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠:
Security forces of CRPF (@crpfindia) and BSF (@BSF_India) used excessive force.

𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧:
The security forces seemed to be using maximum restraint. There are visuals of Kuki women shoving and pushing the jawans, forcing them out of their posts, throwing their bags and dismantling their posts. There are also visuals of using tear gas to disperse the protesters.

@BSF_India @crpfindia, any official statement to clear the air?

It’s also believed that women folks in large numbers were brought from various parts of Kangpokpi district to obstruct the combing operation and push the security forces from the area with Kuki bunkers of terror.

Leaders of CSOs like COTU (@COTU_Kangpokpi) who instigated and brought these women, should be the one accountable for this incident.
