@SqueezeMetrics 1/
I hate blanket statements & I'm about to make one... It should be completely disregarded...
No one understands these flows (Well, maybe one, ๐ฅ, and he's not in the clearly explaining, rising tide lifts all boats business. Which I understand.) Most of us
@TradeVolatility these aren't "Late breaking global events" Trump and the tariffs were announced yesterday, Iran, Boeing and oil during RTH and the ,market shrugged them off. Even Trump elaborating at 2:PM ET today caused no ripple. Europe has over reacted on thin liquidity.
@QuantData Great Post! It is a privilege to be an American and all of us who are here now to bear witness stand on the shoulders of all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
"Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ๐บ๐ธ" Some have already forgotten. ๐
@GuyCohen473847 @politvidchannel PoliticsVideoChannel obviously posted this as click bait... There are no scenarios... This is low information, uninformed thinking about where we are and the facts on the ground. Scanning the abov is time I'll never get back.
@politvidchannel "if it passes it goes to the senate"
Last time I looked the R's/MAGGA controlled both houses... So, what's your point. Stop being delusional.
@DanielAlpert Great Dan!!
If you feel like it, who do you think has been whispering in his ear about tariffs? I don't think these are ideas based on original thinking.
The US voting public has become more and more polarized, lazy and increasingly stupid. They are like children and constantly vote against their self interests. It's disheartening and it will get worse before it gets better. The comment section is a microcosm of the plague that has befallen the US.
What actions has he taken? List 5 productive Issues he has taken on and his solution to them? How will they benefit the Country and the American people? Be specific. Don't just offer everyone a glass of "Coolaid".
Now this is a guess on my part, but all of this govt cost cutting. What's the purpose? Do you think it's to balance the budget? Maybe, just maybe, it's the mechanism to pay for the tax cuts that are going to go to the wealthy...
So while he's putting his working class voters out of work and cutting their benefits (Thanks to EM) he's going to be making the Rich, Richer. When tyhe dust settles, come back and explain how he's taking action to "address those issues".
What are you talking about then... If you hear it say so and back it up. If some one else said it, find out who and go discuss it with them... This is the problem, folks are too lazy to check their facts to support their opinions then present their opinions as if gospel, painting everyone with a very broad brush for the sake of hearing themselves talk... The "public square" has just become noise.
@jam_croissant @roozb1234 ๐ฅ, Don't waste your time... People are too invested in their positions and hear or "Think they heard" only what they want to hear... Otherwise you're pushing on a rope arguing with them.
I agree that Trump/Heritage said exactly what they were going to do so no one should be surprised... Problem is, the majority of people who voted for him (Latinos, Vets, Seniors, Women, Blacks to name a few - All of these voted against their own self interests) didn't really understand what he meant, the extent or that it would affect them (It is).
Also, the vast majority of voters resent that it is an unelected, unconfirmed billionaire who bought his seat at the table, leading an incompetent teenage and 20-something posse whose intent is to scrape the government to the ground. I'm pretty sure they didn't vote for this.
Most U.S. voters alive today have no concept of the sacrifice it took to secure our republic and democracy (Read or watch, Steven Ambrose's "Band of Brothers" or his books on the Civil War. Read about the fate of most who signed the Declaration of Independence. We are here today because we're standing on the shoulders of Great Generations that came before us. Most today have no appreciation for what it took to get here and have no skin in the game.
And anyone who thinks that the Dems/Left is the root cause are woefully misinformed... The R's are in on this as well... Rather than taking the time to read and become informed on what the real issues are, the public spends itt's time in the tall weeds looking at the bright shiny object that are meant to distract. Nixon almost took the Republic down with Watergate, Bush II with the Iraq war/WMD's/the Patriot Act (Authored mostly by R''s but Leahy, Daschle and Conyers were involved). Point is, there's plenty of blame to be spread around - on both sides. The Dems have lost their way - Started with Clinton and was amplified by Obama - Mr. Change We Can Believe in. This sowed the seeds for the future MAGA, those who were the Dem base who had their mfg jobs shipped off to the Farr East and China and were left behind.
So while Americans are chanting "Burn it Down", maybe they should ask, "is the current crew in DC really serving my interests. Are my representatives putting America and MY interests first. If not, work to get better ones in. Problem is most voters think theirs is alright, it's the others that are the problem... We can thank the Bright Shiny Objects for this.
"It can no longer be a top-down, billionaire-funded, consultant-driven party."
This describes BOTH PARTIES... I'm through with the Dems who are myopic in their pursuit of woke, virtue signaling policies... PLUS, they have lost the will to play political "hardball" (as witnessed by Schumer's recent complete capitulation. But while we're busy throwing the Dems over the cliff, let's remember that it was the R's that took away a woman's right to choose, gutted the voting rights act, who are actively working to privatize Social Security now, Gave Trump near imperial powers... The list goes on... So let's save some of our anger and disgust for the R's... They both need to go...
