Here is the first release of an indie game I'm working on called Alpha Loot. It's a single-player worker placement game playable for free in your browser. (desktop only)

Gameplay:
1️⃣ Each letter corresponds to a job you can assign workers to. Initially, 5 jobs are unlocked. You have to gain resources to unlock the remaining 21.
2️⃣ You have 6 resources to manage. (stone, wood, gold, food, power, and magic) You can gain immediate (green) and recurring (yellow) resources.
3️⃣ The strategy is about building resource income used to trade for victory points. End game scoring only counts VP. Hoarding resources isn't a great strategy (in this version).
4️⃣ The game is deterministic (no randomness). This means if you play the same kingdom and the same combination of moves, you'll end up with the same score. With this many moves and move options, the number of possible games is equivalent to the number of atoms in the Milky Way galaxy. ✨
This is only the first kingdom. I plan to introduce new kingdoms to introduce different jobs and game mechanics. Check it out and let me know if you have any ideas! 🙌
BREAKING: The Federal Trade Commission just issued a final rule making it illegal for bosses to make workers sign noncompetes in any scenario. This is another significant example of President Biden being the most pro-worker President in American history.
I'm introducing a collection of Subset #tshirts on @cottonbureau. This series features a relaxing mid-century study enclosed in the Subset brackets. 🪴📘

@Start01_ That is a downside but I'm happy to pay $30/mo for unlimited access. Depending how much you use, that can be a lot cheaper than Dalle-2. You also can't use freely generated images commercially.
I've become obsessed with #MidjourneyAI thanks to @Start01_. It's not that #dalle2 is bad, also a great tool. But the licensing and other limitations make it a little more difficult to use in a project.
Here's what I have in mind. 👇
I also recognize that AI art is seen as an exploitation of artists by a lot of people. I do feel that long term, these tools need to evolve and share proceeds with artists through fractional ownership.
I will continue to voice that opinion.
