@Drkotnisx@Schandillia It's not justice, it's just a company exercising it's right to hire and fire employees they need. The judiciary has no business getting involved in this
@aj_levi@LPI4India I'm not denying cases of caste based atrocities. What I'm saying is that caste is a label that can be made irrelevant through urbanization while you suggest casteist solutions like reservations
The caste system breaks down when people are interdependent for services
@aj_levi@LPI4India Your way of upliftment is by giving a medical postgrad seat to a -ve scoring student, thereby discriminating against a better candidate due to their caste (thought you were against that) and ensuring ordinary people check the caste of a doctor before visiting them
@aj_levi@LPI4India Notice how you still haven't answered what you actually mean by "remove the caste system"
I can bring up cases of men being murdered by women and claim there's a "misandry system" in India, I'm pretty sure you'd rightly dismiss that claim
@aj_levi@LPI4India Elaborate on what you mean by "remove the caste system" because nobody is forced to take up the jobs of their family in urban India. Caste only has a role to play in marriage and I don't really think you can force people to marry who you think they should
@aj_levi@LPI4India Casteism can be removed through urbanization. It's the reason why you mainly see it in rural India. Reservation plays no part in removing it but rather helps in maintaining it by promoting mediocrity which only results in stereotypes and hatred
@yellowcapscsk@OKAYASYOUSEE You're still not answering the main question which is, why do YOU get to choose how a certain private event is conducted?
It's up to the organizers to have it their way. It's not a government event so you can't appeal to secularism
@arun_bhaiyya@HPhobiaWatch I believe the people of this nation should be able to freely arrange religious events regardless of the religion unless they cause disruptions or break laws. You seem to have the authoritarian mindset that having Hindu events is wrong. Come out of it
@arun_bhaiyya@HPhobiaWatch BCCI is still Indian, they can use the flag and name of the country like other private organizations can in the country. I don't understand why it bothers you
There's nothing to justify in the performance. It's their choice to conduct it, like how it's yours to cope
@arun_bhaiyya@HPhobiaWatch Secularism means the separation of the state and religion. It doesn't mean one has to do a qawwali inside a church
Private events can have any religious aspects to it. You can't stop them by spamming buzzwords
@yellowcapscsk@OKAYASYOUSEE Not wanting any religious events is also a religious preference. You want to impose that on a private event which delivered on what it promised. What gives you that right?
@yellowcapscsk@OKAYASYOUSEE You were promised a cricket match and got that. If this event had disrupted the game in any way then what you say is acceptable. It's also skippable if you don't like it. Why do you think your religious preference should get the highest priority?
