@p_droaraujo @LongFormMath Quantum systems are modeled as vector spaces over complex fields. So negative numbers often pop out because of how complex multiplication works. Not sure how you could get rid of those.

@p_droaraujo @LongFormMath Sure. I work on a system which requires applying a correction factor to certain measurements. To find that factor, you have to integrate a probability distribution defined over all reals. You can't do that without using negative numbers.
