Israel is home to one of the world’s most diverse Christian landscapes.
Today, Maronites, Syriac Orthodox, Syriac & Chaldean Catholics, Ethiopian Orthodox, and Coptic Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, and many other Christian communities live and worship across the country.
Their churches, monasteries and institutions remain an integral part of Israel’s religious, cultural and historical landscape.

“Raised Catholic” isn’t what it used to be.
Before Vatican II, it meant catechesis, Latin, the sacraments as a way of life.
Now it’s often a watered-down parish education that didn’t survive confirmation.
Notice who does most of the trashing: the ‘raised Catholic’ crowd. As if a childhood going to Mass earns them authority over a faith they never practiced, and left.
