What an amazing bird! Stumbled across this stunning summer plumaged Great Northern Diver at Loch Fleet , Sutherland 🏴today. Cracking day with Cory’s + Sooty Shearwater, all 3 species of Diver, Golden Eagle, 8+ Ospreys, 25+ Arctic Skuas, Arctic waders and 30+ Tree Sparrow ☺️👍
Field studies of one of the reported 3 White-rumped Sandpipers at Beacon Ponds, Spurn. A British tick and my first since seeing two in Canada in 2003. Got the clinching features but not all the detail due to the hazy conditions. Cheers @waderquest

I am in awe of these young birds, so playful just now, frequent mass taking to the air but muxed with frequent periods of rest and preening, soon on their way South.
