This is our so-called Minority Affairs Minister. He is called the minister for minorities, but in reality, he is nothing more than the minister of the Sikh community alone. It seems that in this Pakistan, he only considers the Sikhs as minorities, and only regards his own Sikh daughter as his daughter — while the daughters of other minority communities #Christian and #Hindus mean absolutely nothing to him.

Just recently, an incident took place where this minister took his Sikh daughter back into his own religion and faith after she had been abducted, raped and forcibly married off and forcibly converted to Islam. He managed to bring her back.

However, when it comes to the issue of Sikh pilgrims at Nankana Sahib — where Millions of dollars are involved — we have not heard a single statement from him regarding the new law recently passed in Pakistan on this matter.

This is exactly what happens when you place a crown on a donkey instead of a lion — the donkey starts believing he is the king. Today, this gentleman stands in that very position. He may be called a minister, but he is only a minister for his own community.”

12-Year-Old Hindu Girl Abducted, Forced Religious Conversion, and Marriage

A deeply disturbing incident has come to light near Bukhari Farm in the Kot Ghulam Muhammad area of Mirpurkhas District, where a 12-year-old Hindu girl, Laxmi Kolhi, was allegedly abducted, forcibly converted, and married off.

According to available information, Parvez Mari, a resident of Bukhari Farm village, allegedly lured the minor girl Laxmi Kolhi and took her to Pir Umar Jan Sarhandi in Samaro. There, after forcibly changing her religion, the girl was married off.

Sources also reveal that to conceal the girl’s actual age, her age was falsely recorded as 19 years on the religious conversion certificate. This is not only a blatant violation of the law but also a grave injustice to the impoverished Hindu families of Sindh.

This incident comes at a time when child marriage is legally prohibited under the Child Marriage Restraint Act in Sindh. Despite this, groups associated with Sarhandi in Samaro allegedly continue to convert minor Hindu girls and arrange their marriages, which is deeply tragic and unjust.

Social activists and leaders representing minority communities have expressed grave concern over the increasing cases of abduction, forced religious conversion, and forced marriages of underage girls, particularly among Hindu and other minority communities in Sindh. Despite existing laws, the lack of effective enforcement has allowed such incidents to continue and even rise.

Civil society has demanded that the Sindh government, law enforcement agencies, and human rights organizations take immediate notice of the incident, recover the girl, return her to her family, and take strict legal action against those involved.

These incidents have heightened fear and insecurity among minority communities in Sindh, which is an extremely worrying situation.

The Pakistan Darawar Ittehad @PItehad has announced another strong protest against the Sindh government for failing to implement the 17-point agenda that was previously presented to address the serious issues faced by minority communities. This agenda particularly highlighted the abduction of Sindhi Hindu minority girls, forced religious conversions, and forced marriages, along with several other important issues affecting minorities. Unfortunately, no effective action has been taken by the government on these demands so far.

Leaders of Pakistan Darawar Ittehad stated that incidents of abduction and forced conversion of Hindu minority girls in Sindh are increasing day by day, creating fear and insecurity within the minority community. Many families have reported that their daughters are abducted and later forced to convert their religion and marry against their will, yet meaningful steps to ensure justice for the affected families are still not visible.

The leaders further said that Pakistan Darawar Ittehad had earlier presented a 17-point agenda to the Sindh government which included demands for ensuring the protection of minorities, preventing incidents of forced religious conversions, recovery of abducted girls, protection of minority places of worship, implementation of the minority job quota, and other fundamental rights. However, there has been no serious progress on these demands.

In view of this situation, Pakistan Darawar Ittehad has announced that if the government does not take immediate and practical steps to address these issues, a large protest sit-in will once again be held in front of the Sindh Assembly in April with thousands of participants. Members of the minority community from different cities of Sindh will participate in the protest, along with human rights activists and representatives of civil society.

The leaders emphasized that the protest will remain peaceful and its purpose is to draw the attention of the government and relevant institutions to the serious issues faced by minorities. Pakistan Darawar Ittehad demands that the government ensure the protection of minority communities and take strict and effective measures to stop the abduction and forced conversion of Sindhi Hindu girls.

Pakistan Darawar Ittehad has made it clear that their struggle will continue until minorities are provided justice, protection, and equal rights.

Pakistan Darawar Ittehad Announces Protest Sit-in Outside Sindh Assembly Over Minority Issues

Pakistan Darawar Ittehad has announced that it will stage another protest sit-in in front of the Sindh Assembly in April due to the Sindh government's failure to implement the 17-point agenda presented by the organization, the continued neglect by the Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Dr. Shyam Sunder, and the ongoing serious issues faced by minority communities in Sindh.

Chairman of Pakistan Darawar Ittehad, Faqir Shiva Kachhi, in his statement said that Hindus and other minority communities in Sindh are facing several critical problems. These include the increasing incidents of abduction and forced religious conversion of underage Hindu girls, lack of transparency in the distribution of minority funds, inadequate protection for minority communities, and the failure of minority representatives to effectively raise and address these issues.

He stated that Pakistan Darawar Ittehad had previously presented a 17-point agenda to the Sindh government, which included demands related to the protection of minorities, safeguarding their basic rights, and ensuring justice. However, he expressed regret that the government has so far failed to make any serious progress on implementing this agenda.

Faqir Shiva Kachhi further said that the Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Dr. Shyam Sunder, has also continuously ignored the demands and concerns raised by Pakistan Darawar Ittehad, which has created deep concern within the minority community.

He warned that if the government does not take the issues of minorities seriously and resolve them, Pakistan Darawar Ittehad will launch a strong protest movement along with minority communities across the country.

He announced that in order to protect minority rights and draw the government’s attention to these issues, Pakistan Darawar Ittehad will hold another protest sit-in outside the Sindh Assembly in April, where a large number of minority community members, social activists, and women are expected to participate. Grand Rally of Pakistan Darawar Ittehad in Mirpurkhas on the Occasion of International Women’s Day

Mirpurkhas: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a grand rally was organized in Mirpurkhas by Pakistan Darawar Ittehad under the leadership of Chairman Pakistan Darawar Ittehad Faqir Shiva Kachhi and social leader Sonia Kachhi. The rally started from State Life Office Chowk and concluded at Mirpurkhas Press Club, with hundreds of women, men, and children participating in large numbers.

Participants in the rally included Lala Azhar Pathan, Radha Bheel, Shanti Thakur, Shazia Malik, Advocate Wajid Laghari, Kanji Rano Bheel, Anil Sharma, Rai Chand Thakur, and Nirmal Kumar Meghwar, along with other leaders. They raised slogans in support of women’s rights, education, protection, and equality while carrying placards and raising their voices against violence and injustice toward women. Participants said that women are a symbol of strength, dignity, and honor in society, and that no civilized society can progress without ensuring respect, protection, and equality for women.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Chairman Pakistan Darawar Ittehad Faqir Shiva Kachhi said that women in many parts of the country, including Sindh, are still deprived of their basic rights. He stated that it is extremely unfortunate that women and underage girls are being killed every day in the name of Karo Kari, which is a serious crime against humanity. He further said that domestic violence, harassment, lack of access to education, forced marriages, workplace discrimination, and social injustice are also major issues that require immediate action from the government.

He added that the incidents of abduction and forced religious conversion of minority girls are particularly alarming, and strong legislation along with practical measures is necessary to stop such crimes. He emphasized that International Women’s Day is not just a day of celebration, but a day to renew commitment to the rights, dignity, and protection of women.

Social leader Sonia Kachhi in her speech said that providing women with education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and social protection is the need of the time. If women are empowered, not only families but the entire society can progress.

Leaders and citizens participating in the rally demanded that the government take strict legal action to stop violence against women, honor killings, domestic abuse, abduction of minority girls, and forced religious conversions, and ensure full protection for women.

The rally concluded in front of Mirpurkhas Press Club, where leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue the collective struggle for women’s rights and equality.
