Watched Toxic today with packed audience. It really deserves a huge applause for the Daring attempt. Its not just an entertainment film its a psychological journey of strong characters, I agree the writing and edit could hav been crispier, but its a feast to watch our own Yash. He has really taken over RAYA in to his blood veins. The last 20 mins is truly wonderful, it is really not easy to carry such performance through out the film, Especially the
character "Ticket" O man.. I am still struck with that... I had tears in my eyes at the end for RAYA.

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ೬ ೩೦ ಮುಂಚೆ ನೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ್ದ ತೆಲುಗು ಪೇಜ್ಗಳು ಸಿನಿಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಇಲ್ಲ , ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ೪ ವರ್ಷ ತಗೊಂಡ್ರ , ಬೋರ್ ಅಂತೆಲ್ಲ ಹಾಕೋಕೆ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ರು, ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಜನ ಅದನ್ನ ಇನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ತಿ ನೋಡಿರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ , ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಪೇಜ್ಗಳು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮೋತ್ಸವ ಸಿನೆಮಾಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ತೆಲುಗು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ರಿಯಾಕ್ಷನ್ ನ ಟಾಕ್ಸಿಕ್ ಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಅನ್ನೋ ತರ ಬಿಂಬಿಸಿದ್ರು ಅದು ವರ್ಕ್ ಕೂಡ ಆಯಿತು ,

ಸೊ ೨೬ ನೇ ತಾರೀಕು ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಅನ್ಸಿದ್ದು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಚೆನ್ನಗಿಲ್ವೇನೋ ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದು ನೆಗೆಟಿವ್ ರಿವ್ಯೂ ಬರ್ತಾ ಇದೆ ಅಂತ , ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಜನ ಅವ್ರಿಗೆ ಅದು ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದ್ ನೆಗೆಟಿವ್ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ಸಿದ್ರು ಎಲ್ರು ನೆಗೆಟಿವ್ ಅಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂತ ಅವ್ರು ನೆಗೆಟಿವ್ ಹೇಳಿರೋ ಚಾನ್ಸ್ ಇರತ್ತೆ , ನಾನ್ ನೆನ್ನೆ ಇಂದ ನೋಡ್ತಿರೋದು
ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಹೇಳಿದಷ್ಟು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲ ,ಎರಡನೇ ಸಲ ನೋಡಿದ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಆಯಿತು ಅಂತೆಲ್ಲ .

ಸ್ಟಾಕ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ದೆ ಇದ್ರೂ ಅದು ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋಗ್ತಿದೆ ಅಂತ ತಗೋಳೋದು , ಇಷ್ಟ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ನ ಯಾರ ಒತ್ತಡಕ್ಕೋ ತಗೋಳೋರು ,ಇಷ್ಟ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡೋರು ಇವೆಲ್ಲ Bandwagon effect ಗೆ ಬರತ್ತೆ .

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು , ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜೀವನದ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳನ್ನ ಯಾವುದು ಪಾಪ್ಯುಲರ್ ಅನ್ನೋದರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಗೋಬೇಡಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಅದು ಸರಿ ಹೊಂದತ್ತ ಅನ್ನೋದರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಗೋಳಿ !!!

As an artist, when you play a character, you try to bring it to life from the bottom of your heart. And here, I am truly impressed by the conviction with which the struggle of a powerful man has been portrayed.

Maybe the plot and driving characters are not on the usual track on which most films travel, but that doesn’t mean the track is wrong. The effort that goes into telling a story, and the journey it takes from being a thought in the mind to becoming a film on screen, is humongous.

@TheNameIsYash sir, hats off to the way you have surrendered yourself to a character and a world that demands a larger-than-life performance. I could clearly feel that in every single scene.

It’s not easy to give the audience an experience of how guilt multiplies and increases the toxicity in life. I stand with you for attempting this daring experiment, sir.

We love you for the love you have for taking Kannada cinema to the global stage.
