Look at the circular ripples on the water. Now look at the date: 1875.
This isn't just a landscape—it's Gustave Caillebotte’s L’Yerres, effet de pluie.
Rain is a nightmare to paint. Most Impressionists avoided it.
Caillebotte tilted the angle down and used his background in engineering to map the exact physics of a raindrop hitting the river.
While Monet dissolved reality into light, Caillebotte gave it structure.
Yet history wrote him off as a rich benefactor who paid his friends' rent. He funded the Impressionist movement, but critics dismissed his own technical genius as too rigid.
In reality, he was years ahead of them.
Good evening from Mumbai.
For a moment, this almost feels like Italy.
But those terracotta rooftops, the harbour and the Taj remind you… this is Mumbai.
The cheetahs that landed in Kuno in 2022 still thought June was winter. Because in Namibia, it is. Shorter days. Cooler nights. A thicker coat growing in, exactly as their bodies had been doing for generations south of the Equator.
India does the opposite. June is heat and monsoon. Same months, inverted world.
So some of them grew a winter coat in the middle of an Indian summer. The fur held the rain. Ticks moved in. Collars rubbed wet skin. They scratched. Wounds opened. Maggots followed. Three adults didn’t make it.
Nobody had a textbook for this. Not the Namibian team. Nor the Indian scientists. The pineal gland only reads night length.
The ones who lived through a full year began to reset. The cubs born here never had the old clock at all. Thirty-two of them opened their eyes under northern daylight. Their coats, their breeding, their sense of when winter arrives - already Indian.
That is the quiet part of the 52. Not just numbers. A species that crossed the Equator, paid for the mismatch in skin and blood, and then handed a correctly timed body to its young.
Nature is stubborn. It is also faster than we give it credit for.

The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all.
A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue.
A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310.
These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it.
The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored.
A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone.

Why Me?
During one of the most difficult periods of his life, tennis legend Arthur Ashe was reportedly asked:
“Why did God choose you for this suffering?”
His response carried a powerful perspective:
50 MILLION children started playing tennis.
5 MILLION learned to play tennis.
500,000 learned professional tennis.
50,000 entered the circuit.
5,000 reached Grand Slam level.
50 reached Wimbledon.
4 reached the semifinals.
2 reached the final.
And when Arthur Ashe stood there *holding the Wimbledon trophy*, he never looked at God and asked:
“Why Me?”
So when life brought him pain, how could he suddenly ask:
“Why Me?”
Think about that.
When we receive success, money, recognition, opportunities and happiness, how often do we ask:
“Why Me?”
Almost never.
We accept the blessings without questioning them.
But one failure, illness, rejection or setback arrives and immediately we ask:
“Why Me?”
Maybe gratitude should work both ways.
A child on a farm watches an aeroplane and dreams of flying.
A tired traveler inside that plane looks at the farmhouse and dreams of staying home.
Your ordinary life may be someone else’s dream.
Money cannot guarantee happiness.
Power cannot guarantee peace.
Fame cannot guarantee love.
Success cannot guarantee sleep.
So stop measuring life only by what is missing.
Enjoy what you have. Stay humble when you win.
Stay strong when you lose. Learn from what hurts.
Be grateful for what remains.
When life gives you a trophy, say Thank You.
When life gives you a challenge, don't immediately ask “WHY ME?”
Ask instead:
“What Can This Teach Me?”
Because a beautiful life is not a life without problems.
It is a life where GRATITUDE survives even the Problems.
This isn't a simple spring study.
After cutting his ear and while residing in an asylum, Van Gogh found bright moments of creativity despite his severe mental struggles.
Then Almond Blossom arrived, Feb 1890.
Suddenly, Vincent van Gogh turned darkness into a canvas of pure light, touched by news that his nephew Vincent was born.
Hung proudly in his brother Theo's home and guarded by the family for generations, it became their most cherished painting.

Corruption is not an issue anymore because everyone understands (and even respects) this basic human urge to hoard, to make more money. We even celebrate the top 15-20 billionaires of the nation as some sort of beacons of our culture and pride.
But what gets missed in this razzle-dazzle is that corruption is not just someone making extra money by bending rules - it also means those bent rules KILL people. In building fires, collapses, fake cancer medicines, adulterated foods, drunk driving, and a hundred other ways.
Corruption actually means someone making money by murdering people, murdering us.
Journalist Ravi Raj showed real courage in confronting the contractors who tried to stop coverage of the alleged large-scale corruption in the ₹4,400-crore Ram Van Gaman project linking Ayodhya to Chitrakoot.

India is a labour-abundant economy, so its people are its greatest strength. We need a well-educated and healthy workforce, which requires greater government spending on education, healthcare, and social welfare.
India’s public spending remains much lower than that of developed countries like the US. With nearly half of Indian children attending private schools, often with varying quality, there is a strong case for greater government investment in these sectors.
