“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return.”
What is the truth behind the reports that the little baby girl who was abducted by bandits alongside her father and mother has died?
Imagine a little girl who knows nothing about life, justice, or injustice. All she knows is food, eating, and drinking. She is still so young that she cannot even take care of her own personal hygiene. Yet, a wicked person abducts her, and she allegedly dies in his captivity.
It is truly heartbreaking and devastating. 😭💔
VIDEO: Ahmed Zakka, who was abducted in Millennium City, Kaduna, is appealing for help in a heartbreaking video. He is being held alongside his wife and their baby by bandits.
A whole family in captivity, including an innocent baby😭
We hope the authorities and everyone who can help will do everything possible to secure their safe release.
JUST IN: President Bola Tinubu will flag off his 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.
have never voted APC or Tinubu, but this time, my choice is clear! I support President Tinubu for re-election, Governor Uba Sani for a second term as Kaduna State Governor, and Hon. Henry Marah for re-election as Member representing Jaba Constituency in Kaduna state.
I reaffirmed our administration’s commitment to the welfare and dignity of pensioners across Kaduna State by announcing plans to further increase pensions to provide greater support and improve the quality of life of our retirees. I made this announcement during a courtesy visit by the National and State Executives of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP).
Since assuming office, our administration has disbursed more than ₦21 billion towards the payment of pension arrears, gratuities and death benefits, while sustaining prompt monthly pension payments. We recognise the sacrifices made by our retirees in serving Kaduna State, and we remain determined to honour their service with compassion, responsibility and concrete action.
I am deeply humbled by the decision of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners to honour me with the “Pensioner-Friendly Governor” award, in recognition of our administration’s dedication to the welfare and wellbeing of pensioners over the last three and a half years. I dedicate this recognition to the people of Kaduna State and, most importantly, to our pensioners whose years of dedicated service helped build the state we are proud of today.
The Union also expressed its confidence in the direction of our administration by endorsing me for another term in office and declaring its readiness to mobilise its members across Kaduna State for our victory in the 2027 election. I am grateful for this show of confidence and remain committed to earning the trust and support of our people through continued delivery of good governance, inclusive development and improved welfare for all.
As a further demonstration of our commitment to supporting our pensioners, I presented an official operational bus to the union and allocated a parcel of land for the construction of its permanent state secretariat. These interventions will strengthen the Union’s operations and provide our pensioners with the institutional support and dignity they deserve.

Happy Teachers’ Day to those of us who can spot a ChatGPT assignment from three classrooms away.
We teach, we mark, we somehow stay sane.
Higher institutions would collapse without us.
I remember when they use to make us feel if anyone touches El rufai this country will know no peace.
Today is 230 days and still counting, what a time to be alive.
Kaduna is changing. And behind every road, classroom, hospital, training programme and opportunity is a story about people and the work being done to improve their lives.
This film captures that journey under Governor @ubasanius, the progress made, the people at the centre of it, and the work that remains ahead.
Because development is more than numbers. It is about what people can see, feel and experience in their everyday lives.
The work continues.

In commemoration of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, I have exercised my prerogative of mercy to grant clemency to 27 inmates in correctional facilities across Kaduna State. This decision reaffirms our commitment to a humane justice system that upholds accountability, promotes rehabilitation and offers deserving individuals an opportunity to rebuild their lives.
The intervention provides for the release of eligible inmates and the settlement of fines and compensation for others, enabling beneficiaries to regain their freedom, reunite with their families and embrace the responsibilities of a fresh beginning.
Since assuming office, we have extended clemency to more than 500 inmates and committed over ₦300 million to the payment of fines and compensation for victims. Behind these figures are human lives, families awaiting reunion and communities whose wellbeing depends upon the successful reintegration of those returning to them.
I hold firmly to the conviction that justice must protect society, respect the interests of victims and preserve the possibility of redemption. Mercy, exercised with discernment, strengthens that purpose by recognising the capacity for change and making room for renewal.
Our decisions follow established processes, with due regard for accountability, rehabilitation and the obligations that accompany freedom. The settlement of fines and compensation also gives these interventions a restorative dimension, addressing barriers to liberty while recognising the need for redress.
To the beneficiaries, I urge you to honour this opportunity through responsible conduct, honest endeavour and respect for the rights of others. Let your return bring reassurance to your families and renewed confidence to your communities.
As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we must continue to give practical meaning to freedom through institutions that uphold dignity and policies that restore hope. Our shared humanity places upon us a duty to recognise those who deserve another chance and support their journey towards responsible citizenship.
We remain committed to strengthening rehabilitation, encouraging reconciliation and helping deserving individuals return to society with purpose, dignity and the resolve to contribute meaningfully to our common progress for the benefit of all.

Governor Uba Sani doesn’t need to campaign again in kaduna state.
I remember in 2023 when I visited one of my friend in karatudu, Omoh that was the first and last time I drove my car to that place, subsequent times was public transport.
Romi - Karatudu communities are already experiencing massive economic upswing, lower transport fares, more patronage for businesses and zero post-harvest losses for farmers.

NIGERIA AT 66: THE NATION WE OWE OUR CHILDREN
As we commemorate our great nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary, I join all Nigerians, particularly my dearly beloved people of Kaduna State, in gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of nationhood and the grace that has sustained our journey. This anniversary invites us to honour our founding fathers, whose courage transformed the yearning for freedom into the sovereign nation we proudly call our own. Their enduring legacy entrusts every generation with the responsibility to make independence meaningful in the lives of our people.
Nigeria stands as the world’s most populous black nation, a source of African pride and a beacon of possibility. Our cultural richness, human ingenuity and extraordinary resilience have sustained our promise through difficult seasons. Under the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, our shared responsibility is to translate that promise into prosperity that reaches every household and opportunities that expand every child’s horizons. I am proud of Mr. President’s courageous leadership and steadfast commitment to this national endeavour.
Peace and stability are indispensable to the fulfilment of our aspirations. A farmer must be able to cultivate his land, a trader open her shop and a child attend school without fear. My administration in Kaduna State, working closely with the Federal Government under President Tinubu’s leadership, remains committed to strengthening security, improving public safety and creating an environment in which our people can live, work and pursue their legitimate aspirations with confidence.
To the people of Kaduna State, I reaffirm an abiding conviction: our diversity is our strength, and our shared humanity must guide our relationships. The dignity we seek for ourselves must extend to our neighbours. Let us reject prejudices that weaken our bonds and resist attempts to turn our differences into instruments of division. Through mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and collective determination, we will build a stronger Kaduna State and a more prosperous Nigeria.
The patriotism of our founding fathers calls us to sacrifice and accountability. Citizens must discharge their civic responsibilities, just as leaders must honour the trust placed in them. Sacrifice acquires moral force when leadership shares its demands and ensures that its rewards improve the lives of the people. Our love of country must find expression in the integrity of our conduct and the care we show one another.
This year, we celebrated 27 years of uninterrupted democratic rule. We thank Almighty God for this achievement while acknowledging our responsibility to deepen its substance. Democracy fulfils its purpose when citizens are heard, institutions inspire confidence and public service safeguards human dignity. Its enduring value must be evident in the security, opportunity and wellbeing it delivers.
To every public official, I offer this solemn reminder: we shall ultimately account for our stewardship before Almighty God. Let wisdom guide our decisions, integrity govern our conduct and compassion shape our priorities. The authority entrusted to us obliges us to serve faithfully, protect public resources and leave our communities better than we found them.
A new, albeit far better, Nigeria is achievable. Through our work in Kaduna State and the Renewed Hope Agenda nationally, we remain resolute in building a country worthy of our heroes’ sacrifices and our children’s trust. Let us pray for its peace, labour for its prosperity and strengthen the bonds that sustain our common destiny.
I wish the good people of Kaduna State and all Nigerians a happy 66th Independence Anniversary. May Almighty God protect our nation, bless our people and strengthen our resolve to build the Nigeria we owe our children.
