@GarrigaIzzy I think they were being more than ethical and just wanted to get a consensus of how the other employees were feeling. It just so happened that the survey getting leaked helped them more than they thought.
@becker_reece I think goes back to what we discussed in class and what it says in the article, that technology is just a tool and it depends how we use it is what makes it have a positive or negative outcome in the workplace. I think the pros out way the cons and they way to go about the cons
@OrgCommChat I think one of my strengths is understanding that I don’t know everything and that others may know more than me. So when I come into a leadership position I am always open for suggestions.
@Louiseleej22 I agree Louise, I think people are natural born leaders and they develop over time. There are of course certain exceptions but I think for the most part it’s through learning the qualities of being a leader bring out those qualities that you were born with.
@rayyy_clowww I agree Rachel but there’s another angle to being a natural leader and that is some people can already posses qualities of being a leader and develop others over time as they get older.
@OgrenAnnie I definitely agree Annie that it’s what we perceive to be great leadership since there are different types of leadership styles that people either agree or disagree with.
One of the biggest questions is, “are leaders born or made?” This can be answered in serval ways. There is no doubt that people can be transformed into leaders while others have what we call “a natural gift” to lead. What do you think distinguishes someone who is a natural born
@anna_simank I agree that is certainly only divides us more. People stop shopping and boycott companies based of their political views. I don’t a company can come out on top of a political situation. They’re either loved or hated
@OrgCommChat I think a key aspect of my personal brand would be discipline. Playing football here helped with that since it took up so much time during the week
@jameson_evie You’re totally right here. There are certain companies who advertise certain positions on the front end but behind the scenes their stances are complete opposite
@OgrenAnnie @OrgCommChat I agree Annie, there are so many companies who are hypocrites when it comes to political issues. Urban outfitters is a common example. They advertise during LGBTQ pride month but behind the scenes they support anti-LGBTQ politicians
@ThrasherMacy There was a time when I was doing an internship and the person who was in charge of us would always arrive late and leave early, never really dressed professional either. It made it hard to stay there and continue working for them. It wasn’t motivating to work for them.
It’s no secret that companies have become more political in the recent years, so much so that they market themselves off policial and social justice issues. Brands don’t avoid political issues but rather embrace them. However, some companies take advantage of political situations
@OrgCommChat I’m hoping to be a lawyer and the percentage of male lawyers was around 84, which was number that I wasn’t too shocked by it but I have read that the percentages are starting to go down.
@tabifranco@OrgCommChat To start it would be by breaking stereotypes. Typically men have always been the ones to become firefighters because of the physical labor/toll on your body. But the article talks about other traits such as compassion that are also needed.
