Whether it is Mahathir Mohamad who led a comeback at 92 in 2018, Lula Da Silva, or Reagan, I argued on @voptvlive

ATIKU LAUNCHES ‘ASK AA’ PORTAL TO OPEN DIRECT CHANNEL TO NIGERIANS
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has unveiled Ask AA, an information and citizen-engagement portal that gives Nigerians a direct opportunity to ask him questions about his political agenda, record in public service and plans for the country.
The portal goes live at 8:30 p.m. today, 15 October 2026.
The free-access platform allows Nigerians to submit questions on issues including the economy, security, technology, job creation and Atiku’s plan to make life more affordable. Atiku will respond personally to questions, while his media team will also help provide answers.
Powered by technology, Ask AA is designed to help bridge the information gap between voters and the ADC presidential candidate by making it easier for citizens to engage with him and access information about his positions and proposals.
“The objective of this initiative is to bring Atiku Abubakar closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving platform,” said Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council.
Shaibu added that the initiative reflects Atiku’s commitment to using modern technology to make government more efficient, secure and effective.
For communities without internet access, the campaign plans to make the platform accessible through a radio interface.
In announcing the initiative on his social media accounts, Atiku said he conceived Ask AA because he believes that “leadership is a two-way conversation.”
He said: “For too long, governance has felt distant—locked behind walls of bureaucracy. But our country’s greatest resource isn’t oil or land; it is our people. If we are going to build the Nigeria of our dreams, we must start by tearing down the walls between leaders and the people.
“That is why I am launching Ask AA—a direct citizen-engagement platform built for transparency, accountability and dialogue. No filters, no intermediaries.
“Whether you want to question my economic record, discuss my policy plans for technology, security and job creation, or share your own recommendations for national progress, nothing is off the table. I want to hear your questions, your policy critiques and your best ideas.
“Beyond answering questions here, I will personally call selected citizens who leave their contact details so I can hear directly about their experiences and the issues affecting their daily lives.
“A transparent, technology-driven government is not a promise for tomorrow. It begins with how we listen to you today.
“I’m logged in and ready. If you could ask me one question, what would it be?”

Subsidy is back, according to Rufai Useni on Arise this morning. He also praised Atiku for pressing the Tinubu government to cut fuel prices and change the entire campaign to an issue-based one.
Atiku is a prophet
On the 18th of September, Atiku gave a speech telling Tinubu to use his subsidy ideas
Tinubu should not be ashamed to do what is necessary to lower the price of petrol simply because Atiku Abubakar proposed a government intervention.
“He should just take the idea, rename it if he wishes, and even take the credit. What matters to me is that Nigerians pay less.
“A sensible idea does not become a bad idea because it came from your opponent. If responsible intervention can lower prices, intervene. If changing course can help Nigerian families change course, for God’s sake.
They said Atiku was desperate, now they’re panicking and trying to do right by the people.
For every APC supporter that hitherto defended Tinubu’s 3-years wickedness, I hope you can now see that your cult of suffering is a useless one and your covenant with misery can be broken.
HE Atiku Abubakar is not doing audio leadership. Today, he and his Vice, HE Rotimi Amaechi, pulled up at a fuel station to see, feel, and hear directly from Nigerians. His mission? Restore fuel subsidy and bring real relief to the masses. If you’ve ever waited in that fuel queue, you know why this matters. No be grammar. Na action. When a leader shows up where the people dey suffer, you know it’s serious. Time to follow who know road.
Arsene Wenger is owed an apology after Man City verdict. Football should have listened to his incredible insight in summer of 2011. City picking off another Arsenal player on the back of a record sponsorship deal. His words are so striking in retrospect https://t.co/kjZPV40oV7
Lagosians decry the abandoned Dumare Street in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State, saying that despite an increase in allocation, they have not seen any development in their area.
Dear Mr President, please, permit me to wish you Happy Independence on our 66th anniversary.
I will not waste too much time Sir.
I have just watched and listened to your speech on television and I must honestly say I wasn't impressed. Today is supposed to be a day of celebration but your speech turned it into a day of lamentation.
My heart bled as you went into the morbid analogy of Nigeria as being a cancer patient that merely survived on pain killers before your arrival as a celebrated surgeon. You specifically mentioned MORPHINE as the drug of choice by your predecessors. I'm not sure this analogy was appropriate. At the time you assumed power, Nigeria probably had stage two cancer, at the worst. You were expected to stabilize it and not to metastasize it into a stage four cancer. Your first prescription on day one was a monumental disaster. You took no time to properly examine your patient. You were too much in a hurry to administer your jab which automatically sent Nigeria 🇳🇬 into instant coma. And you've not been able to revive it. The least we expected from you was to stabilize and not to destabilize everything in sight.
Sir, your fuel subsidy stunt was a misadventure. I expected an apology for the medical calamity. So, Nigeria has made more money, amassed more loans, insecurity has increased, poverty has escalated, profligacy is palpable, politicians have remained insensitive, elections have taken priority over governance, renewed hope has collapsed into hopelessness and abject despair... I can go on ad infinitum...
Nigerians have mostly given up on your promises. I doubt they are able to endure and accept the endless excuses, barely three months to the next elections.
Four years may not be able to contain and solve all our problems but the HOPE should be glaring by now...
The richest man in africa does not even drive a rolls-royce, nigerians are dy!ng of hunger but our president owns a fleet of luxurious cars, how did we get here?

Alongside a team of elders, party leaders and community mobilizers, as part of our continued engagements ahead of our official campaign flag off, we were in Mayo-Belwa Local Government to engage with ADC stakeholders and supporters in the area.
As the candidate for Jada, Ganye, Mayo-Belwa and Toungo (JAGAMATO) Federal Constituency, I remain thankful for their support and solidarity. My simple message to them, as always, is this: I will not disappoint them.
