India's first indigenous counter-drone shotgun has reached the Indian Army. 🇮🇳

Developed by Bengaluru-based SSS Defence, the T-12 has been delivered to the Army's Northern Command.

What stands out:

• Designed and manufactured in India by SSS Defence

• Built to engage low-flying FPV and quadcopter drones at close range

• Developed in response to the growing drone threat seen in modern conflicts

Recent conflicts have shown that small drones can inflict disproportionate damage on the battlefield.

Defeating every drone with an expensive missile is neither practical nor economical.

Systems like the T-12 give soldiers a simple, portable and cost-effective option against low-altitude drone threats.

As drone warfare evolves, India will need layered counter-drone capabilities, and indigenous systems like the T-12 are an important step in that direction.
