Remember when Joseph Smith restored out of nowhere scripture about Enoch, which has insane levels of similarity to ancient texts only found 50+ years after his death. It's funny how his haters don't like to talk about it. Probably because there's no naturalistic explanation.

These #Orthobros think their "how did you get the Bible?" argument affects Latter-day Saints. Homeboy, God speaks. He said the Bible and the Book of Mormon contain his gospel.
Ps. You still haven't explained away the #bookofmormon .
Nearly no LDS know why they use the 66-book Protestant canon, how it came about, or that it’s actually an Orthodox liturgical text.
Every LDS member, and any other restorationist, should know early Church history as well as any christian… not 1800s church history, but the first few centuries of Church history from Christ on.
Without that, it is just feelings and indoctrination.
@ThoughtfulSaint For Latter-day Saints to be human is to be an embodied intelligence/spirit. That Intelligence/spirit can either be fully divine or not.
Christ's incarnation meets what it means to be human, an embodied intelligence/spirit. No contradiction arises.
@HwsEleutheroi@LukeFHan So you haven't read D&C 93.
"29 Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence was not created...
30 All truth is independent in that sphere in which God has placed it, to act for itself, as all intelligence also; otherwise there is no existence."
@HwsEleutheroi@LukeFHan 1st, if you read the whole King Follet Discourse it literally presupposes that God is eternal. "There is never a time when there weren't Spirits" and "Spirits are co-eternal with God." Aka God is eternal.
2nd, have you read 1st Nephi 1? Clearly not modalistic!
@SecretFire79 Yeah, we’ll see what Jesus says when we stand before Him.
Hopefully you spend more time seeking to save souls than spitting on Samaritans in the future.
I made this at work with some putty we had laying around.
It's the holiday season. Let's be thankful for Christ and have Him be the focus of our holidays.

@BlackBlessedLDS The original wording of this verse doesn't use "Son of". It simply says "Mother of God, after the manner of the flesh."
The original text show this isn't an allusion to Heavenly Mother, rather simply saying that Jesus is God born into flesh.
Cameron from @CapturingChrist just proved his ignorance of #Mormonism.
Whoever thinks this guy is any kind of authority on Mormonism is literally blind.
Nephites are Isrealites. You have to be illiterate to say otherwise.

The Book of Mormon is not primarily a historical record that looks to the past. Rather, this volume of scripture looks to the future and contains important principles, warnings, and lessons intended for the circumstances and challenges of our day. Hence, the Book of Mormon is a book about our future and the times in which we do now and will yet live.
Ancient voices from the dust plead with us today to learn this everlasting lesson: prosperity, possessions, and ease constitute a potent mixture that can lead even the righteous to drink the spiritual poison of pride.
We can follow the example of the Lamanites in the Book of Helaman who turned to God and were brought to a knowledge of the truth by believing the teachings in the holy scriptures and of prophets, exercising faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repenting of their sins, and experiencing a mighty change of heart.
If we are not faithful and obedient, we can transform the God-given blessing of prosperity into a prideful curse that diverts and distracts us from eternal truths and vital spiritual priorities. We always must be on guard against a pride-induced and exaggerated sense of self-importance, a misguided evaluation of our own self-sufficiency, and seeking self instead of serving others.
As we study and ponder the Book of Mormon, we will be blessed with eyes to see, ears to hear, minds to comprehend, and hearts to understand the lessons we should learn to “beware of pride, lest [we should] enter into temptation” (Doctrine and Covenants 23:1).
As we walk in the meekness of the Lord’s Spirit, we will avoid and overcome pride and have peace in Him.

"What did you learn at #GeneralConference?"
Women: Jesus loves me.
Men: How to turn nitroglycerin into dynamite, and purify salt with the methods developed by the Roman empire.
This argument is deceptive and relies on an audience that won't do any kind of research. I'd bet @mormons_speak hasn't even read these quotes from the original #bookofmormon. If he had then he should have seen that 1 Nephi 3[11] literally is talking about the "Son of God."
Changes in the Book of Mormon reveal that the #LDS theology of Godhood has evolved over time. In the original Book of Mormon, Jesus was "the Eternal Father." Then the BofM was edited to state that Jesus was "the Son of the Eternal Father."
Stop with the deceptive anti-mormon arguments.
If Joseph Smith was trying to change the BOM's theology why did he leave every other instance of Jesus being called the Father?
Example:
The title page: "convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God"
Korihor: "28 Yea, they durst not make use of that which is their own [their body] lest they should offend... some unknown being, who they say is God"
(Alma 30)
The #BoM was published in 1830, so for almost 200 years it's propheticly told us "my body my choice" is evil.

One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body.
I am having a debate with a friend of mine this next Thursday.
The debate topic is, "Is the fall necessary as taught in the Book of Mormon?"
Of course I'm taking the affirmative.
