Fernando Mendoza signed a rookie contract in July worth $57.27 million. Fully guaranteed. He is 22 years old.

This week he announced what he is doing with his rookie season.

He is starting a series called Finance with Fernando to teach people his age how to handle money.

His words in the trailer.

He is not bluffing. He graduated from the Haas School of Business at Berkeley, and he is finishing a master's in business administration in December.

Here is how he got to the point where a 22 year old can say that.

All four of his grandparents left Cuba for Miami in 1960.

He grew up in Miami and played at Christopher Columbus High School. In two seasons as the starting quarterback he threw for 1,396 yards and 16 touchdowns. Total. Nobody was building a recruiting class around that.

He committed to Yale.

Then another recruit's decision opened a door at California, and he went to Berkeley instead. He redshirted in 2022. He started eight games in 2023 and eleven in 2024.

Then he hit the portal and went to Indiana, a program that had gone 9-27 in the three years before Curt Cignetti showed up.

What happened next does not really happen.

Indiana went 16-0. Mendoza threw 41 touchdown passes, a school record. They won at Oregon. They beat No. 1 Ohio State for the Big Ten title.

Rose Bowl against Alabama, he went 14 of 16 for 192 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-3 win. Peach Bowl against Oregon, five touchdowns.

Then the national championship game, against Miami. The school in his own hometown.

Indiana won 27-21. He was the offensive MVP.

First Heisman Trophy in Indiana history. First national championship in Indiana history.

Then the Raiders took him first overall. He wears number 15 for Tom Flores, who gave him his blessing to use it.

And right now he is sitting behind Kirk Cousins.

So instead of waiting around, he is finishing the MBA and starting a personal finance series for people who have never had money and are about to.

One more thing worth knowing about him. His mother Elsa lives with multiple sclerosis. He and his brother worked with restaurants to put items on the menu that raise money for MS research.

I promise you’re not even slightly prepared for how INSANE this story is. Not only has the town they’re in not had a single COVID case in months but it was originally founded as a commie bar for lesbians where paying was optional. Eventually almost no one paid the cover fee (predictable) and 2 of the original owners left. The full time mask requirement left them almost no business. One of the owners left to go to CLOWN COLLEGE.

The drama here is that they’re making masks optional for ONE NIGHT OF THE WEEK!

In a town with NO COVID cases….

I mean it would be nuts if there was COVID too but how are they so delusional that they think they need to mask with zero cases!?!

The one remaining owner is living in her car because the commie business model is failing so terribly. She can’t pay herself or her employees.

Her detractors, who have been bar patrons, have been attacking her as well for sometimes forgetting to use alt text on social media posts, which they call ableist and dangerous. 😂

So… 😂😂😂 Next she brings in a mediator to hear out the crazy people. The meeting goes off the rails almost immediately because the mediator (who’s a therapist) is White. They then said she was a mandatory reporter who could force hospitalize them. They said the mediator made them feel "wildly unsafe."

The owner is 50k in debt on the business loan and living in her car. When she brought this up they said she was spilling White Tears for sympathy which they found "incredibly racist."

The meeting went on like this for nearly 4 hours.

Long story short: these leftists are literally insane. So insane that clown college seems like the most intelligent move in this deranged story. 🤡

🚨#BREAKING: It has been revealed that THE JUDGE who gave a Black woman only 30 DAYS in prison for running a RED LIGHT, hitting a 25yr old White man, and DRIVING AWAY while he DIED ON THE STREET...

...is a BLACK MALE DEMOCRAT, Reggie McKnight, who was appointed by ROY COOPER and served on the "Special Committee on Diversity" for Charlotte NC Bar.

The 25 year old's name was Lance Sotelo.

Lance grew up in Dalton, Georgia, and was a cross-country MVP in high school.

He came to Queens University of Charlotte NC and ran cross country and track and field for SIX YEARS.

On January 14th, Lance was doing the thing he loved most, he was out for a run in Charlotte NC

At 5:47 in the evening, police say 28-year-old Q'Laundra Hood was ran a red light and she hit him, hard.

...and then she drove away.

She left him in the road and kept going.

Lance Sotelo died right there on the streets of Charlotte.
He never even made it to a hospital.

He didn't have life insurance, his family had to start a GoFundMe just to bury their son.

Hood turned herself in and pleaded guilty to felony hit-and-run and involuntary manslaughter.

And on Tuesday, a courtroom packed with Lance's family and friends watched the judge hand down the sentence.

30 days in jail and probation.

Thirty days and $765 restitution... which didn't even cover the funeral costs, by the way.

The family had to start a GO FUND ME just to pay for his funeral.
