A communications virtuoso hailing from Uganda, with an impressive tenure of over 18 years in the realms of strategic communications and media consultancy.
Ugandans, don't be so quick to dismiss these contacts simply because the system is new to us. The teams at @KCCAUG are meant to handle genuine and urgent concerns, not every idle complaint. If you misuse the platform and later come here making noise, you may end up being the very noise pollution you're complaining about. @KCCAED
Hon. Muyonjo is free to disagree with the President @KagutaMuseveni, criticize government actions, and demand accountability. That's part of democracy.
However, as a Member of @Parliament_Ug, attending the State of the Nation Address is not about endorsing the President; it is about performing the duty for which citizens elected you. Article 101(1) of the Constitution of Uganda states: "The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament, deliver to Parliament an address on the state of the nation."
The State of the Nation Address is a constitutional engagement between the President and Parliament. MPs are elected to listen, scrutinize, question, debate, and hold the Executive accountable, not to absent themselves because they disagree with the speaker. If the allegations of arrests, torture, and abductions are true, then Parliament is exactly where an MP should be present to challenge the government and put those issues on record. Boycotting the address may make a political statement, but it does not substitute for parliamentary oversight.
Ugandans elected MPs to represent them in Parliament, especially during key constitutional events such as the State of the Nation Address and budget process, not to leave their seats empty. @DailyMonitor
“l can’t go there (Kololo) sit and listen to someone that arrested our people, tortured our people, still abducting our people even upto now. l can’t go to such event (State of the Nation Address)”- Jinja North Division MP Hussein Muyonjo also known as Swengere

Those were only the small pastors. The bigger offenders, who generate the worst noise pollution, probably saw the meeting as beneath them. Unless there are tough and enforceable laws, we'll keep having the same problem. It's not enough for @KCCAED@Buzeki_Sharifah to call meetings that some people simply ignore. Noise pollution has become a public nuisance, and those who continuously violate the law must face serious consequences.
The Executive Director of KCCA,Hajjat @Buzeki_Sharifah engaged with pastors in Kampala and appealed to them to help KCCA address the issue of noise pollution in their places of worship by investing a small amount in purchasing noise limiters and sound insulators
It was a heartwarming moment of friendship and appreciation unfolded yesterday afternoon as Mrs. Monica Ahimbisibwe, accompanied by her friends, surprised the Rt. Hon. @RebeccaKadagaUG, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for @meaca_ug, with a special birthday treat. The thoughtful gesture, complete with a beautifully presented cake and gifts, left the Minister pleasantly surprised and deeply touched. Rt. Hon. Kadaga expressed her sincere gratitude for the kindness, friendship, and love shown by the group, noting that such moments of genuine appreciation make birthdays even more meaningful.
The celebration was filled with warmth, laughter, and shared joy as friends gathered to honor a leader whose dedication to service continues to inspire many.
Before money is allocated there ,after @Parliament_Ug ,I think let the president @KagutaMuseveni and the @IGGUganda first pay a visit to those fellows a visit @MinofHealthUG who turn every crisis into a money venture project. Do you know how many airlines have cancelled flights to uganda because of a certain group at that ministry that's seeking for a budget to survive on. Yet Kinsasha airport is fully functional , our own Entebbe airport is about to close.
After @Parliament_Ug, I think the President @KagutaMuseveni and the @IGGUganda must pick interest in your institution, @DianaAtwine. You can’t convince anyone that you’ve “publicised” #Ebola as if Uganda is the epicenter, yet the airport where you claim it started is fully functional while ours in Entebbe is on the verge of shutdown , many international airlines have already cancelled flights. Uganda is on the global stage for Ebola more than @DRC_Cord itself, all because of your exaggerations and extortion for funding. Every crisis becomes a money making venture for you and your group, even if it means sinking tourism and the economy.
@MrBusinge@MrBusinge, To some, it's never about service delivery. It's about survival and staying relevant. When your position depends on a Presidential appointment, creating the impression of being indispensable can become more important than solving the problem itself.
I think the President should pick interest in this institution as well it's second to @Parliament_Ug . And the @IGGUganda must also pay a visit to the @MinofHealthUG , it’s simply too much. You have no idea how many airlines across the world have cancelled flights because of these officials’ exaggerations. They will even hire every international media house, from @AlJazeera onwards, to market their projects. There is a recurring tendency for certain officials and institutions to amplify crises in ways that look more like fundraising campaigns than balanced public information. We saw it with COVID‑19. We saw it with the locust invasion. And now we are seeing the same pattern again. Every crisis is turned into a business venture, while Uganda’s economy, tourism, and reputation take the hit. The public deserves facts, not panic. Until the profiteering ends, emergencies will remain someone’s opportunity to loot. @rkabushenga
False #EbolaReporting
To Media Houses in the Global North, perspective is key;
1. We are close to 50m of us living in Uganda. Only 15 cases of Ebola have been reported. Only one person died. The rest of us are living normally and responsibly.
2. There are more dying of violent crimes, civil war and traffic accidents in your countries than we are dying of Ebola
3. In your countries, you are contracting sexually transmitted diseases & NCDs faster than Ebola is spreading in Uganda
3. Our team of scientists & surveillance systems have built capacity to respond over decades of managing these situations. Has some respect for us.
4. Polite reminder-we coped better with Covid 19 than you did. Be humble
5. A simple online search will show you the geography of Uganda & DRC. Do the work

@kasujja ,With due respect, the statement leaves more questions than answers. Reassurance is important, but effective public communication also requires facts, timelines, accountability, and clear evidence to address public concerns. People are more likely to remain calm when they are given sufficient information to understand the situation. @MinofHealthUG, please ensure that public communicators and content creators are provided with accurate, comprehensive, and timely information.
Congratulations, Rt. Hon. Your appearance before the Appointments Committee today is a reflection of the confidence and trust that continues to be placed in your leadership, experience, and dedicated service to Uganda. Your reappointment as First Deputy Prime Minister and @meaca_ug is well deserved, and I have no doubt that your wealth of experience will continue to strengthen Uganda's interests and advance the East African integration agenda. Wishing you a successful vetting process and continued excellence in service to the nation. @KagutaMuseveni
This morning I appeared before the Appointments Committee for vetting my re-appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the EAC @KagutaMuseveni,
@KomugishaPeace No single thing can completely stop a man from cheating because fidelity is ultimately a personal choice. However,a man who believes in loyalty and keeps his commitments is less likely to cheat, even when tempted. @KomugishaPeace
@NuwatuhaProssy Many women value things beyond money: honesty, consistency, respect, emotional support, loyalty, communication, and a sense of direction in life. A man who is broke but hardworking, responsible, and actively trying to improve his situation can still be a good partner.
Good move. Some people had turned public holidays into a cash cow, demanding billions upon billions from taxpayers. Next should be a review of MPs' allowances. Too often, Parliament seems less about debating national issues and more about waiting for the next allowance payout. Ugandans deserve value for money, not a culture of entitlement. @rggoobi
