Isaiah described the crucifixion in detail 700 years before it happened, and named exactly what it was FOR.

Isaiah 53. Written seven centuries before Christ:

“He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities.” Isaiah 53:5.

“Like a lamb that is led to the slaughter… He opened not His mouth.” Isaiah 53:7. 

“They made His grave with the wicked and with a rich man in His death.” Isaiah 53:9. 

He died between criminals (Luke 23:33) and was buried in the tomb of the rich Joseph of Arimathea (Matthew 27:57-60). 

“The LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6.

A suffering servant, pierced, silent before His accusers, dying for the sins of others, buried in a rich man’s grave.

This is why the Jewish rabbis struggled, their Scriptures described BOTH a suffering, pierced servant (Isaiah 53) AND a conquering King (Daniel 7). Some concluded there must be two Messiahs.

But it was never two. It’s one Messiah, two comings.

First the Lamb, pierced for our transgressions. 

Then the Lion, returning in glory.

The Quran denied the piercing. Surah 4:157.

Isaiah described it in HD seven hundred years early.

You can’t erase an event that was prophesied in that much detail. The two criminals crucified beside Jesus are the entire gospel in one scene.

Luke 23. Two men. Same crime, same sentence, same cross, same dying breath, the same few feet from Jesus.

One mocks Him. The other turns and says, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” Luke 23:42.

And Jesus answers: “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise.” Luke 23:43.

That man did zero good works. He couldn’t, his hands were nailed down. No prayers, no fasting, no charity, no time to balance any scale. He had nothing to offer but a dying glance at the right Person.

And Jesus saved him on the spot.

In the religion I came from, that man was doomed. No time, no deeds, game over.

In the gospel, he was in paradise that same day, because salvation was never about the weight of his works.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works.” Ephesians 2:8-9.

Two criminals. Same cross. One difference: which one turned to Jesus.

That’s still the only difference that has ever mattered.

The Savior is everything. Praise Jesus.

He explains that even if these Democrats don’t personally get the money being sent to these shady organizations back as campaign donations, the money is still being used by nonprofits to support Democrats. These are the organizations who do the work to get Democrats elected

He says that’s why they are getting so upset by him exposing the fraud in their states

A PERFECT example of this is Gavin Newsom and the nonprofit CHIRLA

- Gavin Newsom sends them tens of millions of dollars
- They organize street protests, demonstration events, even act as a voting center for Democrats
- They also have been exposed as sending some of that money back to Gavin Newsom as campaign donations

It’ll never stop until politicians are held accountable.

This snuck up on me when I was still Muslim and never let go.

I always asked, “If Christianity is true, why is it so simple? Believe and be saved? Too easy.”

Then I realized simple isn’t the same as cheap.

It’s simple for me to receive because it was infinitely costly for Him to provide.

A gift is free to the one receiving it. It was never free to the one who bought it.

“You were bought with a price.” 1 Corinthians 6:20.

Free to me. It cost Him everything.

I thought salvation was too easy y’all.

I just didn’t see the price tag, because it wasn’t pointed at me.

It was nailed to Him.

I witnessed something in a Christian bookstore recently that has bothered me ever since.

It wasn’t heresy. It wasn’t bad theology.

It was something far more subtle.

I was thumbing through a beautiful ESV Study Bible at a Christian bookstore on the campus of a well-respected, orthodox seminary.

A few feet away at the cash register, an M.Div. student, probably in his late 30s, was passionately discussing his dissertation with the cashier. It was on the simplicity of God and how it’s become a forgotten doctrine. It was fascinating to overhear.

This student was married with several children. One of his young sons, probably 6 years old, walked up and innocently asked him a question.

The dad snapped at him harshly and told him no, and to go away.

The boy tried again.

This time the father lost it, publicly berated him, and told him to go away. The little boy walked off in tears while the conversation about the “simplicity of God” continued.

That interaction has stuck with me ever since.

The irony was hard to ignore.

It made me wonder how often we become experts at describing God’s character while forgetting to display it.

Here was a man studying some of the deepest truths about God… yet in that moment, the theology he was discussing wasn’t reflected in the way he treated his own son.

Now, to be fair, I don’t know that man’s life. I caught one moment, not his whole story. We’ve all had moments we’d want back.

But it was a sobering reminder for me.

Orthodoxy without orthopraxy eventually becomes hypocrisy.

The goal of theology isn’t merely to know more about God.

It’s to become more like Christ.

And before anyone thinks I’m pointing fingers, I’m not. I’ve had my own moments where I’ve been impatient with my children, spoken too harshly, or failed to love my wife and kids the way Christ loves us. I hate those moments, and by God’s grace I want fewer of them.

I’m telling this story with conviction toward myself first.

If the people closest to me don’t consistently experience the love, patience, gentleness, and grace that I can so easily talk about, then I’ve missed the point.

Mark invites us to behold the One whom even the wind and the sea obey.

The One in the boat is Lord of heaven and earth.

This one is interesting…

I read Surah 2:260 a hundred times. Here’s the story:

Abraham. Four birds. Cut them into pieces, scatter them on hilltops, call them, they fly back. Proof of resurrection.

Then I found the real ceremony in Genesis 15, and one detail put a chill through me.

God tells Abraham: bring a heifer, a goat, a ram, a turtledove, a young pigeon. Abraham cuts the animals in half… “but he did not cut the BIRDS in half.” Genesis 15:10.

The Quran has the birds cut into pieces. The Torah says the birds specifically were NOT cut. A direct inversion of the one detail the text bothers to flag.

Why would the Jews corrupt THIS? (They didn’t, the Quran is a false testament)

And what the Quran missed entirely: this was a covenant ceremony. Parties walked between the pieces saying “may this be done to me if I break it.”

But Abraham never walks. GOD ALONE passes between the pieces as a smoking pot and flaming torch. Genesis 15:17.

God signing both sides of the contract.

Taking the death-penalty of the covenant on Himself.

Christ says… these scriptures testify about ME. They do indeed.
