Kenya has LOST ITS MIND and will lose tourism also by requiring travelers purchase the most RIDICULOUS insurance. @MOH_Kenya @_shakenya

All travellers visiting Kenya for stays of less than 12 months must hold a valid travel insurance policy from their country of origin, with a cumulative benefit limit of no less than USD 50,000. This must include the following minimum health insurance benefit limits:

Medical Expenses - USD 20,000
Emergency Medical Transportation - USD 25,000
Prescribed Medicines - USD 300
Mental Illness - USD 1,000
Repatriation of Mortal Remains - USD 5,000

Kenya's Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) application will shortly be updated to request that each applicant upload proof of their travel insurance cover for verification at the point of application.

Guests who arrive without appropriate cover will still be able to purchase a suitable policy on arrival, through an approved provider licensed under the Insurance Act.

AMERICANS VISITING KENYA SHOULD NOT BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE SUCH INSURANCE.
