Another COVID funeral. I didn't know him very well. He started attending our church last year because his previous church encouraged people to wear masks too much.
@RevUnfiltered@ordinarychris@MrChurchGuy We've stayed wide open. Masks are rare. Our Sunday attendance (including online) is about a third what it was and offering is struggling. Our in person has meant that we've canceled services and children's classes due to lack of volunteers.
@davidpaulregier My daughter had an extremely mild case of COVID and thinks she is completely immune now, but we are making her act as though she has no special immunity to it because we don't know how weak it is. Especially in response to variants.
Someone very close to me is going through a severe medical condition right now that is affecting her mind. It started a few days ago and they are slowly getting better.
After an episode, she said she "keeps trying to chase the crazy out, but it keeps coming back"
I empathize.
On a side note. She had to change rooms because the room she was in was turned into a COVID ward due to our surge.
She has a medical condition which kept her from being able to be vaccinated, so she is still susceptible and if she catches it she will die in just a few days.
We have some ducklings in our yard, and while most are mixed black and yellow there was one all yellow one.
The use of the word "was" and the kestrel I've seen around are likely related.
