Also, yeah, I don't pay for this site and that's not likely to change so I threaded this response, haven't had a lot of coffee yet, and typing with my thumbs can be a pain. See bio regarding typos and coherence of thoughts. 🙄

This whole thread is interesting because it gives people a peek behind the curtains at how the sausage gets made and the reactions are telling. Propublica did things more or less by the book here - or at least as someone that is often on the other end of the phone - how 1/x

1/ Here’s a story about how journalism works.

Spoiler Alert: This is how we decide *not* to publish.

We were recently looking at Pete Hegesth’s different statements over the years about West Point, where he has said he was admitted.

First stop: West Point.

if folks consistently attack the media for bias and partisanship, the best way to combat that is to applaud them when they do it right and not let agendas guide their actions. Propublica did it right here. Maybe folks should give them a break. 10/10

Today’s the day, Michigan! I’ve signed the Building Michigan Together Plan. I can’t wait to see this plan, which includes the largest infrastructure investments in state history, in action! ✍️

This is promising. It's hard to capture the energy you feel when you're here for a bit but big things are happening in GR. There's a novel energy, enhanced by a sense of community and tradition, that's tough to explain. You just gotta experience it. https://t.co/LSo4A1tmZm

I've always said, my military retirement allows me to take the job I WANT instead of the one I NEED. Keep an eye on the public sector because it impacts things more than most realize. https://t.co/BvdLAC7641
