Instead we have record corporate profits quarter after quarter, and the masses working more for less money.

New tech, same exploitative oligarchy.

My Biggest Issue with #AI isn't one that many discuss.

It's not surveillance & data centers.

Don't want to spoil anything, but I'll just say that it's my favorite Lovecraftian series since HPL himself.

#TBT Me setting off to hitch-hike from Phoenix to Salt Lake City, via Las Vegas. Circa 2016.

Walked for 20+ miles that day, got picked up by a cop for a while, and lost my phone climbing into the semi that drove me 250+ miles to LV.

@Ofcimcold Great point. They establish that he has scrubbed Peter Parker from the internet, and even his closest friends don't recognize him (except Ned, who they're hinting at being magical.)

Flipside: in a world full of facial recognition, it would make life more dangerous for him.

@aaronlopresti The action & emotionality was great, the score was excellent as well.

I do wish some things weren't so obvious up front so there could have been some actual surprise to the director who ends up being bad and big green showing up, it was such heavy-handed foreshadowing IMO.

Not with a trivial fine (usually less than a day's profits), but actually held accountable, with the C-level being charged, the company having to actually pay for damages, etc...

There may be explanations (like childhood trauma and trauma-based mind control), but there is never an excuse.

As long as WOTC is throwing money at these folks, the people who are largely responsible for their financial success as a company, then it's a win.

I've been making edits to my manuscript as I receive feedback from folks, and re-reading and making my own changes as well.

Over 2000 words added since the first version I sent to my Beta Readers a month ago.

Wonder where it'll be by the time I'm done.

The game "Real Life" was created with walking as the primary way to travel.

I sold my last car in 2014.

I biked to work 2014-2015.

Since June 2015, I've been walking the Earth with a backpack.
