@STK9764 @JordanUhl I do actually, I am not justifying the abuse of African in the Congo to mine Cobalt or the difficulties associated with solar. What I am saying is California's government inaction is unacceptable.
A children's book explanation of what's happening:
1. If you are "smart money" you are allowed to take your $1 and leverage it up to $15+
2. You can now buy $15 of stock AND if you promise to short companies, you can short $15 of stock as well
@UmmWhatttttt @JimBarnes23 @Spaghooter1 @AOC You looked at balanced sheets, they looked at market conditions and tends. It’s the same game, company “fundamentals” are irrelevant.
@UmmWhatttttt @JimBarnes23 @Spaghooter1 @AOC Momentum trading is extremely common on Wall Street as well. You are just made that the people doing to momentum are the “incorrect” people. Unless you support stopping it at a federal level then you are another hypocrite who wants to continue instantiating a poverty class.
@UmmWhatttttt @JimBarnes23 @Spaghooter1 @AOC You are implying the “poors” are too stupid to realize that shorting 140% of a companies stock is a bad investing strategy. And that they couldn’t realize that pumping the stock with aggregated capital on an open form to make money isn’t a logical conclusion to draw.
@HandsomeNoXi @ericweinstein The idea that it is an individual is responsibility to solve a systemic inequality problem does not work in the real world. San Francisco is a fantastic example of this - people and private institutions just do not behave in ways that reduce inequality.
The growing short case on $FB and $GOOG:

2. Regulation
3. Taxes
4. Anti-trust
If you have the capital/stomach for a 5yr+ bet, here’s how I’d build the short case...
