@RingOfFireCGY Nichushkin is younger and huge. Give them another asset to flip at some point, maybe. Either way - do good by Kadri, get pick or two as well. Not a terrible idea given how the market is shaping up it seems.
@Aella_Girl Is this perhaps a response to world being hard so people try to protect their children from hardship and reality and accidentally rob them of the skills they need to survive and thrive?
@Aella_Girl@katherineveritt Yea - what about this is not normal? Isn’t it just a bid to discuss and engage? Like no need to do either or respond at all but this is about as harmless a random message as possible? And better than most as it’s trying to find common ground/debate an idea?
@nearcyan I am missing something here I think. Beyond this not making sense as a parenting strategy, missing a prime opportunity to build skills of patience, sharing, detachment from things - your view of post scarcity that we become petulant children surrounded by wealth unable to cope?
@paulg Caveat to the below: I have zero expertise.
Interesting that if you try to adjust for unsafe driving practices (no safety gear, at night, etc.) motorcycle risk decreases but is still 2x as high as cars.

@TVachaW I’d be curious about a tree’s understanding of connection, light and vibration. It’s connection to the earth and dependence on the sun would seem to prime it to have an interesting understanding of energy flows and dependency/interdependence.
@ThatDavidR@signulll Really interesting is this seems to be an example of what happens in human language naturally: medical terms of developmental disabilities becoming slurs for example. Somewhat inevitable over time.
@Romy_Holland For many, not all, cost of programs like this is cheaper long term than cost of services required by not providing these basic needs: policing, children's services, imprisonment etc. CDN perspective though - free emergency, medical, etc. added on top of the previous.
@eigenrobot Curious, there are an insane amount of listicles out there, but has anyone done a listicle about the progression? 0 = random shit, 1 = you never actually need better than this, 2-5 = minor improvements on base, 6-10 = increasingly niche, expert or refined items.
@itsannpierce A fair criticism, but of human nature in general rather than polyamory specifically perhaps? So many relationship and life choices made for the wrong reasons, out of avoidance or fear etc.
