Tonight's Lesson to Law Students only: In dubio pro reo - when in doubt, rule in favour of the accused.
As the Court of Appeal ((Kwach, Lakha & O’Kubasu JJ.A.) held in Sawe v Republic [2003]: "Suspicion, however strong, could not provide the basis of inferring guilt which must be proved by evidence beyond reasonable doubt."

🗣️❗️.@ConnCFC: "Enzo Maresca doesn’t like Egbhali, Poch didn’t like Egbhali, the fans don’t like Egbhali, not even Todd Boehly who owns the club with Egbhali likes him. This man is the biggest problem at our club."
God is using Mp Abraham Kirwa to address a serious matter after he experienced it himself. For a very long time we've complained about presence of fake medicines in our legal counters. This must be addressed.
Last Friday during my routine night surveillance on noise pollution, I encountered a tragic accident at Nyayo Stadium Roundabout involving a staff van transporting employees home. Upon arrival, I immediately responded by calling ambulances, which arrived swiftly and took the injured to the hospital. Sadly, a young mother lost her life while about to get first aid after the devastating crash. An immediate eyewitness at the scene narrated that three Volkswagen cars were recklessly competing when the front one lost control and crashed into the van. One life was cut short, and others were injured in an instant due to reckless driving. This tragedy is a painful reminder of the dangers of irresponsible driving. I urge all motorists to be extra cautious, observe speed limits, and respect other road users. A moment of recklessness can lead to irreversible loss. Let’s drive responsibly and protect lives on our roads.
A local (financially struggling and facing shrinking market due to competition) importer of titles, ceramic sinks, and toilet stuff has created a list of dealers in similar imported stuff. It then wrote a letter to them stating that they must "lobby" government/parliament to impose taxes on imported tiles, etc, so as to increase their margins and limit competition. They settled on parliament as the best venue to achieve their goals. It then created a war chest of Kshs 300 m to bribe MPs for the task of changing the taxes regime on titles. They have been collecting the money and have raised a substantial sum. Kenyans must know that our tax policy is determined by government and businessmen who can do anything in parliament. I have copies of their letter soliciting for funds to pay a "lobbyist"... the euphemism they use for "bribe"...
The saddest photos ever taken:
A thread 🧵
1. This photo, taken in 1993, shows a starving child being stalked by a vulture in Sudan. Kevin Carter, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1994 for this infamous picture, died by suicide the same year at the age of 33. In his suicide note, he wrote, "I am haunted by the vivid memories... of starving or wounded children..."
