The other thing we have to learn from today is:
1) Isreal's intelligence is, at times, compromised by politicalisation.
2) Any area, policing or wall defense system can fail by overwhelmeness.
3) More information comes from Israel than Gaza. This creates information gaps.

Calmness should happen. Overstretched military power from both sides can come at the costs of real human lives , and can at times, cost real international confrontation. Lets not forget that in conflict, civilians and combatants who pose no danger should be protected.

Its also very good to stay optimistic. Not only is SA a young democracy, it is also in its development stage and the country have made enormous progress and Innovations the last year's. Please remember that Lots of people in Africa and even EU would be jealous of SA lifestyle.

I am seeing the news on what happens on our beloved South Africa and it makes me sad. People who riot and who do vandalism on purpose should be treated by the law. However, Its so important to understand that although its good to be very critical of SA 1/2

When waging war, one should always protect the lives of innocent civilians and non combats. Let's not play the obvious angry blame game, we all know that that will not help. What does, is clever thinking, negotiation and clear adherence to international law.

I know its hard to say, especially in my case as i have lots of friends from Isreal and Palestine. But one should understand that violence and the response of it remains an political choice, such as everything in the Middle East. 2/3

Concerned about the situation on Isreal and Palestina. First of all, I believe that violence in all cases is unjust and is not in the benefit of everyone. There should be an clearer pressure of the international community to find an way out this via talks. 1/2
