@MartinSLewis I printed our own invitations using nice card in the workplace printer, and saved £3k on food by asking guests to go from their table to collect a plate rather than have it served to them. All suits from Next, dress from an outlet shop, bouquets doubled as top table decor in vase

@harriet1marsden Don’t listen to the books, listen to the baby. The first few months they are asking for what they need, and every baby wants/ needs something slightly different. If they want to be cuddled all night or left alone, fed, not fed etc. don’t fight it, go with it.

@hannahfearn Also, baby groups in the week are for mums, and at the weekend are for dads. As a mum who works FT I don’t fit anywhere. Society assumes men work and women care for the children, which isn’t always the case.

@hannahfearn Going back to work after my first, it was better for us that I worked FT and my husband PT. My workplace lined up discussions about return to work and possibility of PT working. Husbands’ workplace no such thing. Assumed he would carry on as before.

@sarajcox I thought ‘Beamer’ referred to a style of car (like an SUV/ sports car, mini van) rather than an actual BMW. A Beamer was a 5 door family car 😁
