We forked Chromium and bolted on a lock-free, zero-copy, low-latency shared memory ringbuffer written in Rust
We needed to IPC 100+ MB/s of raw video, and Chromium's WebSocket implementation is dreadfully inefficient
At @recallai, we ran 18M EC2 instances last month.
We use Rust to process 3TB/second of raw video in real-time.

Just integrated @RecallAI's desktop SDK into ToDesktop Builder.
In 30 mins you can take your web app and ship it as a desktop app with:
✓ Meeting detection and recording out of the box
✓ Automatic transcription
✓ Speaker Identification

Developers just got a faster path to build desktop apps with recording + transcripts + speaker names.
@ToDesktop just dropped a tutorial using @recallai’s Desktop Recording SDK.

Perfect if you’re turning your web app → desktop app this quarter.
This video cost $125K.
Every AI product needs conversation data.
CRMs. Coaching tools. Clinical notes.
2,000+ companies build on @recallai - from Hubspot and ClickUp to Datadog.
To turn conversations into data their AI products can actually use.
Because we’re the API for meeting recording.
API to capture, store, and analyze conversations across video calls, desktop, dialers, phone, and in-person.
Build on @recallai.
Most founders quit right before the breakthrough.
David Gu from https://t.co/DiQELXHEiN nailed something I see all the time: "Some things won't work until you've sunk 6 or 12 months into them."
Three months building a product? That's not enough time to build anything world-class. But founders panic and pivot anyway.
The real skill is knowing which bets deserve 6-12 months of your life.
David's framework: Get crystal clear on your core assumptions upfront. Then test those assumptions fast. If they hold, commit to the timeline needed for real results.
Don't confuse activity with progress. Don't confuse slow progress with no progress.
Most good things take longer than you think.
Fresh insights from @davidgu (CEO, https://t.co/DiQELXHEiN) who just raised $38M Series B.

Big. Update.
@recallai already powers billions of minutes of meeting recording through our Meeting Bot API (used by 2000+ companies, including HubSpot, ClickUp, and Apollo).
But bots aren’t the only way to capture conversations.
Today, we’re introducing the Desktop Recording SDK.
It lets developers embed recording directly into their apps with no bots required.
That means:
1/ no bot accounts showing up in meetings
2/ recordings that “just work” across any desktop meeting app
3/ transcripts, recordings, speaker names, and metadata delivered through the same @recallai API
p.s. build Granola-style features into your app
Nearly $20m in revenue today, all with a tiny team of less than 30 people.
But @davidgu had to will @recallai through years of the lowest-lows to get to this point, when most other founders would've given up long ago.
From taking a look at the current implementation it seems like the app captures audio from the user's mic and not system audio, so it wouldn't be able to record Google Meet.
To be able to record video and audio from online meetings that's what we do at https://t.co/ovMRI7RZ89 :)
This is super slick.
If you ever want to capture all conversation data from meetings, including full audio from all speakers and real speaker names, https://t.co/ovMRI7RZ89 gives you that through meeting bots or a Desktop Recording SDK. Works with Zoom, Meet, and Teams, and is used by 2,000+ companies
@Sarthaksavvy Such a clean view!
If you want to allow users to automate the data ingestion from meeting to your service, check out https://t.co/Ypsa9EE6wV
@Joelpillar1 Very cool!
If you ever expand to desktop (Zoom/Meet/Teams), capturing high-quality audio + transcribing at scale can get tricky.
We built a desktop recording SDK that handles that cleanly: https://t.co/7PqHOWzMaa
@PaschalDev If you want actual speaker names from the meeting, or seperate audio streams per participant (100% perfect diarization), check out https://t.co/ovMRI7RZ89.
We give you an API for desktop recording or meeting bots, and are used by 1000+ companies that are building these recording features :)
@springertimo@thekitze@ChatGPTapp If you use the https://t.co/Ypsa9EE6wV Desktop Recording SDK, you can get speaker names from the meeting (without a bot in the call)!
