I have done psychology and I realized that my short temper was used to manipulate me to doing things I did not want to. So I had a goal to archive. Not to be easily manipulated and here I am.
You say something you regret. Your heart is racing, you feel like crying, or throwing something. You replay the conversation over and over.…
How to work through an emotional trigger
(a mini course):
90% of our brain is shaped by age 5. Childhood trauma disrupts the development of the limbic system. Childhood emotional, physical, or sexual abuse increases the amygdala volume, making it hyperactive.
A hyperactive amygdala perceives more stress in the environment, and feels less at ease in social interactions.
One study showed people with an over active amygdala interpreted neutral facial expressions as hostile.
It can also show up as: 'social anxiety,' hypervigilance, startling easily, noticing every change in mood and voice, moodiness/irritability/being on edge.
By age 30 start to practice telling the truth 100%. Even when you want to crawl out of your skin and even when the thought of saying it makes you want to cry. The quicker you can get your nervous system adjusted to honesty, the better life you’re going to have.
