@NorthrnPrspectv I can understand why Carney avoids question period - he is really bad at it.
He’s exudes a combination of social awkwardness and complete arrogance, particularly towards women.
@ScarlettGrace92@Dalenotanumber Maybe Tim’s is not directly responsible here, but they also didnt speak out against the police discriminating against their customers. Tim’s has done enough BS that I’m looking forward to Duncan Donuts coming to Canada.
@BritIndianVoice Condemn systemic racism that lead to police behaviour - silence
Give up the right to carry long, sharp knives as only short blunt kirpans are required - silence
Maybe speak out against some of the real issues.
@MisterTedious@PunjabiPiccolo Look at the court findings and videos. Novak didn’t provoke him. The Sikh guy was a racist, and he and his family thought they could do this shit and get away with it. They almost did.
Novak did not harass, make racial comments, nor “start shit” with Vickrum.
However even if someone does that, they shouldn’t get stabbed or shot as a result.
Trust me, I’m a FAFO kinda guy, but death shouldn’t be the response to words. Maybe because I’m also a free speech kinda guy.
@scout_2026@rogergeorgekeen That would have been a good realization BEFORE you all voted him in. He claimed he could resolve things with Trump and your gullible ass fell for it.
The police handcuffed an incapacitated guy because they thought he made racist comments.
When they determined he had been stabbed, they didn’t handcuff Vickram.
This is a result of governmental policies that dictate how they should treat people based on their race.
This is pure systemic racism.
The fact you can’t see this as an issue explains why you can’t understand the outrage.
Agreed. The most important issue is the clear systemic racism that contributed to Novek’s death.
But nobody wants to acknowledge that.
Instead that Sikhs are focused on “it’s not our fault, don’t restrict our rights to carry long sharp blades”.
And lefties are focused on preventing the disruption of the systemic racism.
It’d be nice to just see one of these Sikh statements start with the condemnation of the systemic racism that contributed to Novak’s death (please don’t tell me he would have died anyway, as that’s not known, and not the point).
Can you show me such a statement? I would be legitimately pleased if there was such an example.
