The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) is providing humanitarian assistance at shelters in Durban and Pietermaritzburg, including hot meals, hygiene packs, baby hampers, First Aid, and free phone & WhatsApp services.
From treatment areas to essential supplies, every detail matters when thousands take on the Ultimate Human Race. You will also spot familiar recovery essentials at our station such as our First Aid Kits and Deep Heat, supporting our volunteers as they assist runners on race day.
Before the first runners arrive, the work is already underway.
At the Comrades Marathon in KwaZulu-Natal, our KZN volunteers were up before sunrise, setting up the First Aid Station and preparing to support athletes throughout the day.
