@TorontoStar FWIW, the Star takeover has to be reviewed by Competition Bureau Canada to determine if it complies with the Competition Act. The Bureau has a wide mandate. But then it didn't interfere in the Star/Postmedia swap of 2017 that eliminated far too many two-newspaper towns.
