@WishIKnewBall@AdamInHTownTX@RedNinetyFour Literally every important defensive stat says Sengun is, at worst, an average defender. If that's not good enough given how good he is on the other end of the floor, that's a coaching problem.
Draymond Green on all the talk about James Harden:
“There’s a lot of talk about James. There’s a lot. Oh, he can’t do this, he can’t do that. There’s a lot of talk about him. And I said a couple episodes ago, y’all aren’t giving the Pistons credit for the defense that they were playing. However, which further backs up what I said, James had figured out the defense because when you are a great scorer, when you are a great player, when you are James Harden, you’ve seen every defense.”

Massie: I’m walking to an airplane to rejoin the most expensive congressional race in U.S. history. It’s turned into a referendum on whether Israel gets to buy seats in Congress. And what they found out is that my seat is really expensive. By the time this is over, they will probably have spent $20 million and come up short.
I’ve never seen Great Britain, Australia, or even Germany play in our elections here in the United States. But Israel gets so much from the United States.
It’s a one-sided relationship. They get us to be their proxies in wars they want against their enemies. They get our military assistance. They get our technology. They get our bombs. They get our tax dollars.
And I think it’s a very one-sided relationship. At least with NATO, we pretend that they would come to our aid someday if we needed it—and even that’s a ruse.
#Astros Yordan Alvarez, 2026 (pace):
1.220 OPS | .358/.465/.755
22 runs | (123)
38 base hits | (212)
9 doubles | (50)
11 home runs | (61)
26 RBI | (145)
19 bases on balls | (106)
11 strikeouts | (61)
I am not sure he can maintain the pace, but if he does, it is Bondsian, and if he slows down, you are looking at something matched only by Judge in recent years, falls off... and you get Pujols.
Truly remarkable.
The media answer is Arch Manning, Arch Manning, and Arch Manning.
The defensive coordinator's answer - the guys whose career is scouting and trying to stop these guys - is Julian Sayin and Dante Moore.
I trust the latter.
This Harden stat wasn’t passing the smell test to me so I decided to track it, times Harden has more TOVs than FGs

Edward Snowden, speaking in 2015:
"When you say I don't care about the right to privacy because I have nothing to hide, that's no different than saying I don't care about freedom of speech because I have nothing to say, or freedom of the press because I have nothing to write."
@KevinOConnor@kirkgoldsberry It's a hell of a lot more accountability than the L2M report or any other measure short of fining/suspending/demoting referees for poor performance.
I’m realizing I didn’t appreciate James Harden enough, a sentiment I felt even in the moment. Yes, the limitations were obvious, but just by himself, he was a guaranteed second round appearance. That’s incredible, in fighting just to get back there.
Amen Thompson has played in 134 of the Rockets 149 postseason minutes so far.
Houston is winning those minutes by 7.
The 15 minutes he’s sat? Houston has been outscored by 27… (-79.8 net rating)
He’s only sat for 10% of this series and Houston has been fried in that time.
J-Dub out. Wemby out. Luka out. Aaron Gordon out. Ant just looked like he suffered a serious injury. But yeah, not our year, let’s not address the team’s biggest weakness with a first ballot HOFer on the roster.
Unserious franchise and GM.
Harden’s playoff failures have been well documented (despite the fact he’s actually won 15 series and he’s tied for 7th in active wins (90)).
Pretty crazy though that from ’15-’21, he was eliminated by 6 Finals teams in 7 years, including 4 champions.
