Bankers’ suicides must become a matter of national concern, not remain isolated headlines that fade away in a day. We must raise our voices and bring this issue into mainstream public discourse so that the common man understands the pressure, distress & human cost behind the bkng

IDBI was established to finance India’s industrial development and strengthen long-term development finance. It was built to serve national economic priorities—not merely private profit. Why sell control to foreign investors when the institution can be strengthened for public benefit? Strategic banks must serve India’s development, not just shareholders. #StopPrivatisation

[RED SALUTE @RedSaluteIn]

IDBI Bank’s turnaround proves that public sector banking can deliver strong profits, cleaner balance sheets and sustainable growth. Why sell a strategic banking institution to foreign investors when its performance is improving? Reform and strengthen public banks—don’t surrender public control. #StopPrivatisation

[RED SALUTE @RedSaluteIn]

IDBI Bank’s FY26 net profit surged 27% to ₹9,513 crore; advances grew 16%, deposits 12%, and net NPA stood at just 0.15%. After this remarkable turnaround, why hand over 60.72% to Canada’s Fairfax? Strengthen the bank, protect public interest—don’t sell control! #StopPrivatisation

20,000 IDBI Bank employees who cleared IBPS exams to join Govt owned Bank must be feeling cheated as it sold to a foreign entity 😓😢

Dear Rupam and Venkatachalam, RBI has issued clear guidelines on mandatory leave for bank employees. Where is the implementation? Why are banks still failing to comply? Bankers need accountability and action, not just circulars and promises. #BankersRights

Five-Day Banking is not a luxury; it is essential for work-life balance, mental well-being, family time and professional efficiency. As a Branch Head, I believe in smart work, discipline and completing duties within working hours. Give bankers time to live, not just work. Five-day banking is the need of the hour. #5DaysBankingNow

[RED SALUTE @RedSaluteIn]

Mandatory leave: Five-Day Banking is still pending—but why are banks not implementing mandatory holidays despite clear RBI guidelines?
Why are union leaders silent on enforcement?
Bankers deserve answers, accountability and action—not just circulars and endless meetings. Leadership must deliver.

Oh my God ⁉️

[TheBanker’sMirror @bankaffairs]

We chose this. Nobody forced us to sit till 9, or to walk in on a Sunday or a declared Saturday holiday. The NI Act already marks these as holidays.

Leave by 6. The bank will not collapse. Stay till 9 and your family pays for it. Work-life balance is not a favour from management. It is the minimum we owe ourselves.

AIBOA is right. Officers should not be called in on a declared holiday. The rest has to start with us.
