People who have never played a single game of Deadlock once again fail to realize that Deadlock is what it is BECAUSE it’s a MOBA.

I hate that “League bad” syndrome has spilled over into every other MOBA.

The real biggest barrier for these people isn’t even Deadlock being a MOBA, it’s access. You can’t just go to the Steam page and press download. The average person is not going to go out of their way to join a Discord or ask someone for an invite just to try a game they’re unsure about.

It’s really easy to point fingers, talk shit about something, and call it bad when you personally can’t easily experience it. That’s a phenomenon that happens all the time, even outside of games.

I guarantee you that a huge amount of the people saying, “Deadlock is a MOBA, so I’m never playing it,” will be there day one when the game is easily accessible to everyone. They’ll download it instantly.

They can say “I’m never playing Deadlock” as many times as they want right now, but once there’s no invite barrier and they can just press download, they’re going to try it.

There is no chance all these people spending their time talking about Deadlock are suddenly going to ignore it when it’s sitting right there on Steam, one click away.
