Farm Attack – Cullinan/Bronkhorstspruit

Three suspects have been arrested following a brutal farm attack in the Cullinan area.

Tactical units tracked a vehicle linked to a suspected criminal group overnight.

The vehicle was later stopped in Welbekend, where three suspects were arrested and suspected stolen property recovered.

Further investigation led officers to a farmhouse outside Cullinan, where they found the victim hog-tied to his bed, bleeding heavily after allegedly being beaten, stabbed and tortured for hours. His home had been ransacked and his bakkie stolen.

EMS treated the victim at the scene, while the suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.

The incident highlights the ongoing threat of violent attacks and serious crime affecting rural communities.

I want to introduce you to an amazing South African lady named Mara. She is 68 years old. She arrived in Glendale Arizona 10 days ago. Her well educated, multi lingual daughter, son in law and 6 year old grandchild were to follow. Despite being in “refugee status travel mode” two days ago they were denied. She told her daughter she would fly back. They told her to stay. Such unconditional generosity and love in both of their requests. I asked if she was staying. She said yes. Knowing her children and grand child may never come to the USA. Even for a visit. Her faith in God is so strong that she knows God sent her here for a reason. She taught her children and grandchildren to love and obey God first.

Mara is not on X. I found her through @TheSmithsUSA . A week ago she was alone. By Gods divine Providence I happened to be on @viking_boer message group and post I’m in Phoenix if anyone knows any refugees here. Myself and @projectmat were on at that time. Natasha Smith saw my message and contacted me to contact Mara and I did. I then contacted Teresa @projectmat .

I am grateful Teresa could see Mara right away as she gifted her with a TV, black out curtains, a dresser, housewares, and other items. But more important she gave her comfort and compassion.

Yesterday I met Mara and offered to take her to dinner to meet my friends. I also brought many more items like clothing, groceries, iPad, housewares. A friend of mine also gave generously.

We had a 7 hour dinner at 2 restaurants. It was the first time Mara had been out in 13 years. When her mother was pregnant a truck drove over their car killing her father. All 4 children were severely injured; 1 brother was paralyzed and told he’d never walk again. He was 2. Her one year old sister had her skull cracked open and eye removed. That sister was thrown in the sluice. God sent a first year medical student to that baby. He took her sister out of the medical waste bin and removed a rib, using it to repair her skull. All her siblings survived and with care and prayer her brother was walking one year later.

Her mother was a strong woman. She raised those kids alone until Mara was two; she then remarried and had an additional 8 children. When the youngest child was in 12th grade her parents adopted two more children.

Mara married young. She married a police officer who suffered PTSD working at the border. She had 2 young kids and adopted more. In time her husband became an abusive alcoholic. He didn’t just dish out physical abuse but also mental and emotional abuse. At 135 pounds her husband forced her to have gastric bypass surgery. He called her fat and unloveable. He was impatient and didn’t want to wait for diet and exercise to work. The surgeon told her she would need to gain 15 pounds before he did the surgery. He forced her to do it and the kids feared his abuse would escalate if she said no. She went from 63kgs to 47kgs and almost died. Despite this tragic marriage Mara helped her husband create many businesses. They had a charter airline, they were in mining, they had a construction business. Mara flew airplanes and drove motorcycles and shot guns. She sky dived and bungeed jumped. Despite her horrible home life she states the abuse had her on her knees. Daily. Praying. She became closer to God and was grateful.

While running a household and several businesses she went to nursing school where she became an ICU nurse. She became a caterer and also an artist. Eventually she divorced her husband when he ran off with another woman.

This is who God sent here. She may be 68 but my, what an amazing woman she is. She will do great things. I know this. As we were leaving her apartment yesterday we bumped into an Amazon delivery driver. I said “ do you have her Bible?” He smiled and asked Mara’s address. It was, it was Mara’s Bible gifted to her by @Zayin_7_119 . The driver took out his cross necklace and said a prayer. Divine timing he said.

Specialised Security Services requests the public’s urgent assistance in locating 26-year-old Ms. Alex Van Heerden, who has been reported missing under suspicious circumstances.

Ms. Van Heerden was last seen at approximately 18:57 on Wednesday, 5 August 2026. As she arrived at 123 Mimosa Road, Northcliff, Johannesburg, and exited the Uber vehicle, she was forced into another vehicle by unidentified individuals.

Preliminary information indicates that Ms. Van Heerden was taken against her will by at least three unidentified individuals upon her arrival at her place of residence.

APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC:
Every piece of information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could prove crucial in assisting investigators and helping to locate Ms. Van Heerden safely.

Rondebosch, Cape Town, police are appealing for help to find missing elderly couple Jan and Sandra Kotze (both 76), who disappeared on Saturday, 1 August 2026.

The couple left their Rondebosch home at around 11:00 in a grey Fiat SUV and have not returned.

Lieutenant General Jan Petrus Scheepers has been appointed as the new Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, effective 1 August 2026.

Scheepers brings nearly 40 years of public service, having served in the South African National Defence Force before joining the SAPS in 1988.

He spent 28 years policing Gauteng, where he gained extensive experience in community policing, visible policing and specialised operations, including as a K9 handler.

He commanded several police stations in high-crime and complex policing environments, including The Barrage, De Deur, Ennerdale, Lenasia South, Evaton and Orange Farm, before being promoted to Brigadier in 2013 and Major General in 2016.

For almost a decade, Scheepers has served as Deputy Provincial Commissioner: Policing in Limpopo, giving him extensive knowledge of the province’s crime challenges and operational environment.

@PresElectwvmama @PieterVand37940 Afrikaners mainly stayed in the Cape province, they were the rich city dwellers, during the Boer Wars with Britain, they became spies for the enemy and sold out their own people in exchange for British protection. That's where the animosity comes from.

@PieterVand37940 Afrikaners and Boers are of the same tribe. The only difference is that during the British occupation of SA in 1795, Cape Afrikaners submitted to British rule, while Boers, or farmers opposed it and started the Great Trek inland for self determination. Boers won't easily leave SA
