I'm absolutely blown away by the support everyone's shown to @RareBrewCoffee today for #RareDiseaseDay! Not only did we sell out of every bit of coffee we pre-ordered (more on the way soon), but we were able to make a $1,000 donation! to @cureSYNGAP1 on our first day! Thank you!

That's a wrap on Cannonball for the Cure 2023. The UFD Tech community has now raised over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS for Syngap research. That's a number that I could not have even fathomed the day that we got Emmitt's diagnosis. His life, and the life of every other Syngapian, has had their trajectory fundamentally lifted and transformed because of the tech community. While Emmitt's seizures still remain, in fact they got worse while I was on road, we're now one day closer to the moment he stops having them. I could have never done any of this alone. I'm thankful for every Syngap family member who fights for their loved ones. Every community member who chatted to keep us entertained in the wee morning hours. Thankful to Peter for being my co-threepeater. Thankful to Reece for sacrificing for my family on any continent he's on. Thankful to Monica for going out of her comfort zone and doing everything she can to take care of Jaxon. Thankful to Kyler for flying solo across the US to help us make the trip back. And of course, thankful to my wife, Sydney, for holding down the fort while I galavant across the country. And thankful to EVERY SINGLE SPONSOR that made this a success.
