@BarrySchust See this long cutout in the turf? That's where the automatic tarp emerged. It injured Cardinal Vince Coleman before a playoff game IIRC.

Those seams did not line up evenly with the turf on either side... this field would be considered unplayable by today's NFL standards.

Demolition is also easier... a lot can be pushed into the existing hole.

@nealjclark1 It's very beautiful but just too darn expensive. Probably a 20-25 year useful life before it really starts showing wear.

Similar to the slate roof and traditional wood burning fireplace... just too much upkeep. People don't want to spend their money on maintaining these.

Companies have a right to impose uniforms and some speech controls on premises. For example, employees would not be permitted to endorse the product of a competitor.

Taxpayers aren't the ones sitting in the classrooms. They're a third party who shouldn't be held responsible for paying for what mostly amounts to an extended adolescence period for grown adults.
