🚨 Enfield residents have to wait almost 5 years for a council home.
That comes directly from the council’s latest FOI response to me.
They revealed:
❌ Residents must wait 4 years and 8 months on average
❌ Nearly 8,000 households are currently on the housing waiting list
Remember, this is a London borough that has recently signed up to become a “sanctuary borough”.
So while thousands of local residents wait years for housing…
…those arriving illegally and allowed to stay, are often prioritised for accommodation immediately.
How exactly is that fair on the people of Enfield?
Thanks for everything you have done.
Its been great having you as Chairman of the party, and we are so glad you you are still working hard for the party.
We are lucky to have you.
🚨Dear Reformers,
After months of hard campaigning, I hope you can understand that I was utterly shattered and needed some well earned rest and recuperation, which is why this is my first post since stepping down as Chairman.
I leave the role incredibly proud of the unprecedented progress we made during the eleven months I served as party Chairman.
During my tenure, our results were nothing short of phenomenal. We became the largest political party. On average, we welcomed a remarkable 6,000 new members every single month and to top it all off, we made another major breakthrough at the local elections. We gained nearly 1,500 councillors and we took control of 17 new councils. Something the establishment said was impossible.
And I want to be really clear. None of this would have been possible without you, the members and supporters. Your commitment, dedication and passion shines through whenever I meet you.
As I travelled across the country on my Chairman’s Tour and met thousands of you, I was genuinely overwhelmed by the warmth and support I received at every event. Please know that feeling is entirely mutual.
I know Lee Anderson will continue the fight brilliantly, and as someone who has been in Reform for a long time, he knows exactly what it means to be a Reformer.
I now turn my attention to my home county of Suffolk as I look to return to elected politics.
I remain fully convinced that @reformparty_uk is Britain’s last chance. 🇬🇧
🚨 Enfield Council has failed audit SIX YEARS in a row.
That’s not a typo.
For six consecutive years, external auditors have refused to give the council a clean sign-off on its accounts.
At this point, it not an isolated incident…
…its systemic financial mismanagement.
Yet during all of this:
❌ Council tax keeps going up
❌ Residents keep paying more
❌ Services continue getting worse
If the council cannot even get a clean audit for more than half a decade…
…why are residents expected to keep handing over more money?
🚨 Enfield Council’s auditors refused to sign off the accounts.
This comes from a bombshell report by Grant Thornton, the council’s own external auditors.
They issued what’s called a “disclaimer of opinion”.
In simple terms?
They could not obtain enough reliable evidence to confirm the council’s accounts were accurate.
This is a council responsible for hundreds of millions of pounds of public money.
Yet the independent auditors brought in to check the finances could not sign them off.
Of course the council still has no problem putting up residents’ council tax year after year.
But if the auditors cannot fully verify the finances…
…why are residents expected to simply hand over more money?
The police disarm a knifeman who has attacked innocent people, and the Green Party refuse to support them.
This just shows that anyone voting for the Green Party will be voting to protect the criminals and voting not to support the police.
An except from the article:
These Green supporters are super rich people who want to tax ordinary working people more. So they will still be rich afterwards but the ordinary working people won't be.
Which is why on Thursday 7th May, you MUST Vote Reform.
