Yesterday, I had a terrible scare! 😥😱 Mum's hernia agonised her again. She was asleep all day - "it was the only thing [she] could think to do." She hardly ate - 3 slices of bread, a cherry bakewell & yogurt.

Thankfully, this morning, she's fine & back to normal. 😄🥳🙏

The #Paris2024Olympics were always going to be controversial. Bold claims to be the ‘Gender Equal’ Olympics didn’t stack up, even before the opening ceremony.

Little did we imagine that Paris could top the travesty of Tokyo which saw three male trans women selected for their countries in Archery, Cycling and Weightlifting, or the injustices of Rio and Tokyo which saw males with DSDs take medals in women’s athletics.

Paris pulled out all the stops when it came to shock value. When @reduxx revealed that two male boxers, disqualified from previous women’s events, were due to fight in the women’s event at Paris there was worldwide revulsion.

That, coupled with the revelations that one of the Dutch athletes was a child rapist, and that coaches who had been convicted for child sex offences were also at the Games, brought the reputation of the IOC to rock bottom.

In the past 24 hours IOC President Thomas Bach has announced that he will not seek to extend his term of office. As we look forward to a new broom at @iocmedia we hope that whoever takes over has the nerve to instigate radical change before the LA Games in 2028.
