@NJTRANSIT Another day another service problem it’s about 120 degrees inside the bus and you’re increasing the fares? For endless service issues and outdated equipment? I don’t appreciate your attempt to cook us to death

Another example of this phenomenon: Cosmetic work at South Amboy station in 2023, just before it was to be used as a photo stop for a special event. @NJTRANSIT pulls out all the stops for special events, while neglecting regular riders. https://t.co/cVWb79xZW2
Classic @NJTRANSIT spin: Highlighting cosmetic work connected with a special event while neglecting substantive station infrastructure work. Trenton, Edison and North Elizabeth have had platform sections closed for years, but not one peep about these stations.

Crews recently installed protective netting in the breezeway near the tracks to improve the customer environment throughout Secaucus Junction. These upgrades are part of NJ TRANSIT’s continued commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and welcoming transit facilities.
@NJTRANSIT A true “courtesy campaign” from @NJTRANSIT should, at the very least, mean following the law and holding at least 10 public hearings before the 7/1 fare increase.

a little over a week away from the first World Cup game in Jersey. @NJTRANSIT cut one of their most @NJTRANSIT_RVL packed rush hour trains starting yesterday and is already facing delays with the 4:05.
NJ Transit app at 4:20 showing the 4:05 train is “on time” at 4:16…
Less than six percent of $98 tickets have been purchased for round-trip New Jersey Transit trains to MetLife Stadium during the FIFA World Cup.
A spokesperson for NJ Transit told The Athletic that as of Monday, May 31 at 5pm, only 17,739 tickets have been sold across the entirety of the eight game-days scheduled to take place at MetLife Stadium during the World Cup.
This is 5.5 percent of the total 320,000 inventory.

Has anyone using DepartureVision in the new @NJTRANSIT app seen anything other than “on time” for a status?
Case in point: Train 3217 reported as 20 minutes late and clearly behind schedule, but showing as “on time” on DepartureVision.

👋 I’m at Secaucus Junction until 9:00 a.m. today.
Find me in the rotunda with the Safety team.
We can talk safety, of course, but I’d also love to hear about your experience with @NJTRANSIT, especially your thoughts on service during the FIFA World Cup.
@NJTransit_CA@NJTRANSIT@NJTransit_CA, if riders will be unable to access to Secaucus Junction before World Cup match periods, why weren’t intrastate Secaucus Junction rail pass holders given the same 3 percent discount for June as New York riders?
Pretty embarrassing for NJ Transit. The decision to screw a large number of regular riders in favor of World Cup tourists isn’t exactly paying dividends.

Much of May was spent putting out fires — which begs the question about whether @NJTRANSIT and @Amtrak are ready for World Cup in 11 days.
Aside from blazes, the two railroads have other day-to-day problems they’re trying to prevent.
