TY @wendychambLD & all involved in the backbench debate on #Pans#Pandas Many tears shed watching the momentous occasion, hopefully a positive step towards much needed over due change 2 end unnecessary suffering caused by lack of appropriate diagnosis & treatment #PansPandasHour
@apprenticesurg@BlackM1710 @doctor_dru_ Guess you’ve not heard of professional doctorates; or holistic health care;or the value of multiprofessional teamworking? Isn’t that in your good practice guidelines btw? Does medicine have a monopoly on clinical knowledge. Does a urology surgeon know cardiac medicine?
I thought that you would be interested to hear that a date has now been set for the parliamentary debate on #PANS#PANDAS on the 12th September @DrNighatArif @PandasPans
@falco2477 @BlackM1710 @doctor_dru_ You miss the point;they don’t call themselves Dr;they earn it.I’ve spent my career respecting my colleagues and them respecting me.Obfuscates ?!!!! Do you not introduce yourself, then?Don’t underestimate your patients intelligence and your colleagues aka nurses.
@BlackM1710 @doctor_dru_ Utterly disrespectful to Nurses and PhD’https://t.co/WQ4PxFCjNA introduces role. Am proud of being a Nurse. Nurses know more than some Drs in some things;Drs/AHP’s know more than Nurses in some things; We work together,to keep patients safe.Your view is arrogant and dangerous.
Today we remember the one and only Dr Kate Granger MBE who died on this day in 2016.
Kate was an inspiration to thousands across the NHS and her legacy lives on in so much of what we do.
2023 marks 10 years since she launched the #HelloMyNameIs campaign.
The editors at @NatureComms have put together an Editors’ Highlights webpage of recent research called “From brain to behaviour” - Thank you to Sophie Morgan for choosing work from our lab and @ScienceDame on diurnal fluctuations in the ChP and CSF! 🧠⏰

A good physician understands limits. Of their own capabilities, of the human body, of an intervention, of a system, of a trainee, of a conversation. A good physician understands limits. #TipsForNewDocs
NIHR outline grant on Lyme. See link below. This is our best effort so far. Fell down because the Lyme data on antibiotics is not published and the research team wasn't considered strong enough. For Lyme research this would have been a big step forwards.
