Regulated rail fares (those the government controls) will not rise as usual in January but will go up 2.6% on March 1 2021. That's likely to be just as the railway will be hoping to recover 2020's lost passengers.

Don't envy @transportgovuk's task to undo the damage of this "stay off public transport" messaging.
